i am 19 and at university, my period is now 16 days late, i have done a test and it was negative. i still think i could be pregnant because many people have had many negatives but still been pregnant. im going to the docs on tuesday but i want to tell my mum first. i want to tell her but not sure how to.

has anybody been in this situation before or is now?

help!!!!!!!11

Given this baby naming craze, what do you think is worse? The so called "unique" names that are misspelled, made up, and sometimes just ridiculous (La'Jacquioosle, or Ghennifor), or the overused trendy names (Brittney, Ashley, etc)? Don't mean to offend anyone, just curious.

I have no idea what to do... I mean ... ughh. My boyfriend is like amazinggg. But he goes to parties a loot and everything. I love him dearly. But he smokes and drinks a loot. I have to metion that I am 14 and he is 15. Okay.. I love him. But all of a sudden he hung out with this guy named Eric and he gets him to go to parties and drink and toke up. But that just isnt me I get embrassed when people come up to me and tell me how stupid my boyfriend was acting at a party. I like another guy that is straight egde (which means he doesnt do drugs or have sex..etc.) What should I do I love my boyfriend but he is just out of control and that other guy I dont have to worry about him cheating or anything like that.

is it common to have braxton hicks this early (18 weeks) and i have been feel the baby move is it normal to not feel her moving while i am having this contractions, i havent felt her all day. i have the contractions since early this morning i cant get into the dr for another couple of hours so i am just curious as to how serious this is. i have a cerclage (stitch in cervix) so i have to go in for an ultrasound to check my cervical length. i was just wondering if all that was normal for braxton hicks, not feeling baby and if you normally get them this early in pregnancy.

I know this sounds gross but I need help. This is baby number 3. She is now 8 months old. She only nurses a few times a day now. I have noticed that between feedings my nipples are so dry. They have flaky skin on them that peels off when touched. They are just so dry. I have used Palmer's Cocoa butter but it only soothes them, it doesn't make the dry skin go away. Thanks so much for you advice!!! :)

My husband and I are thinking of Marissa Claire for our baby (if it's a girl). We have a two-syllable last name, so I thought it sounded kind of nice. My parents didn't seem that excited, though.

Help! Does anybody know good books about raising a child multilingual? Found a few about biligual families, but I'm looking for one that deals especially with multilinguality.
I'm german, my husband english and we live in the Netherlands. And I thought, we'd be quiet stupid not to try it at least. I'm learning Dutch since half a year. He doesn't speak German, but understands a little bit by listening. So I got a lot of questions.

I am a single parent of a 12 year old daughter. I own my own business and house. I work hard so that my daughter can see If she works hard and maintains a postive attitude and follow through with task she will also be a very successful person in life too. Everytime I give my child simple instructions she always seems to do the opposite. For example, she might ask me where is the sugar? I would reply by saying it is in the cabinet above the stove. Too my suprise she might look in the cabinet above the dishwasher. I asked her why did she look in that cabinet she said she thought I said the cabinet where the bowls are. I have tried to get her help by a doctor in a mental clinic. They told me along with her teachers that she is perfectly normal.
My daughter is not rude or disrespectful she is well- liked by her teachers and classmates.
I'm very concerned about her misinterpretion of everything I say.
I try to be very clear and accurate when I speak to her.
ONLY SERIOUS RESPONCES!!

Okay I'm being induced tomarrow at 7:30am.I don't really care if it's going to hurt more because child birth hurts anyways.But I was just wondering how long it took everyone to deliver.Also, they didn't really tell me to eat or not eat, So should I eat something small and light or just eat nothing? Now is there any tips people have about what to do in the hospital while I'm waiting? I don't know if I'll be able to get out of bed because I have to stop my blood thinners so I don't think they will let me move.I guess I'm just asking what everyone did or if you could even concentrate like reading a magazine.Nice answers please and anything helps really.
I'm 39 weeks and This is my second and last pregnancy.I have a two year old daughter(that I'm going to dearly miss all day :() and I just want everything to go smooth. Thank you....

I missed my cycle am fatigued unusually happy for this time of month, had cramping on the 22 of Jan which was my conception date and i am preg. Wat do i do? I'm 15, one of my best friends is going through a bad phase. She's messing up, going out with bad crowds, I know for several times she drank. I think she's in danger, I talked with her but she doesn't listen to me, says she wants to enjoy life while she can. I don't what to do. She has a bro, but he's 12 and I don't think talking to him would be a good idea. The problem is my friend's parents are kinda harsh, so if I talk with them I'm afraid of what they can do do her. Actually, one reason I think she messes up is her parents are so strict that she wants some freedom. But she's going to far. I can talk with my parents, but I don't see what they can do but talking to her parents, and thi I don't want. So, I dont know how to help her. That's the problem with harsh parents, when their kids messes up you can't count on them, becaus instead of loving parents they will act like the chieg of a concentration camp.

The girl that claims she was carrying my baby just had a boy. When we went for the DNA testing it was proven that the boy is mine. I immediately told her that I would pay child support and told her that I would give her $250 a month for the baby.
She said that isn't enough and wants to fight it out in court. This is all I can afford at the moment. How can I get her to see that I want to support my son but don't want to be over extended. I know that he is part my responsibility and I offered to do what I could. Am I being unreasonable with the amount?

I'm overly exhausted, I have headaches, lower back pains, breast tenderness, and light cramping.

But am I supposed to feel nauseaus early on in the pregnancy? I should only be 3wks., but shouldn't I feel nauseous at all? Or did anyone experience the other symptoms with no nausea??

Will the nausea come later on? When?

Just curious. Sorry if it's a dumb question. This is my first time going through any of this!!!

We have a local charity who normally accept this kind of thing but they are currently fully stocked. The stuff is all in good nick and includes a high chair, baby walker, travel cot, potty, etc. I don't want to take it to the tip if it can go to a good home.

So it'll make 182 oz of formula. When the baby is taking 8 oz bottles, that will be about 23 bottles from that can. So if I feed every 3 hours or so that's 6-8 bottles a day. The can will last 3-4 days! Is that all! Does this sound accurate to you experienced moms? I'm just doing the math of forumula vs breast milk (buying an expensive pump).

My husband and I are trying to conceive a girl (hopefully) I have talked to pharmacists and and couple of gynocologists about methods to make the chances a bit higher. I bought a basal thermometer today and I heard that you should only try to conceive RIGHT after your period so your egg is high, take the temp and at a certain temp, the male sperm die off faster and the female swim faster and farther. WHAT TEMPERATURE SHOULD YOUR BODY BE AT TO HAVE THE BETTER CHANCE TO CONCEIVE A GIRL??? I thought you can only conceive durring ovulation...can anyone help me with this. My mother and 2 other women in my family used the method and it worked for them (may have been coincedence, may not have been). Please, don't give an answer like what a stupid question or make fun of me. It is a serious question.
