My baby always cries in the car. She's 10 months old. I give her teddy bears and I made sure she is comfy in her seat. She is always changed and fed when we go in the car. We always have a long ride and she isnt happy with that. What can I do?

When I say long ride, I mean like 30-40 minutes each way to work, store or whatever because we live out in the boonies. Thanks for all of your suggestions.

Usually a nice soft blanket helps or try putting some soft music orchestra music on to soothe her. Also talk to her while you're driving --children love to hear their mommy and daddys voices. Good Luck!

If he cries once you take a seat him on the settee or the mattress and there is not any one conserving him, then he only has separation tension and ought to be held for all time. If not, then it is going to be his motor vehicle seat. there is a few thing approximately that place that may not soft for him for an prolonged quantity of time. i could get a distinctive motor vehicle seat it rather is somewhat extra soft for longer rides. i be attentive to this is going the high priced course, yet this worked for my chum's infant. She have been given a DVD participant put in in her motor vehicle and now her infant is quiet as a mouse. All she does it watch Dora every time...the comparable DVD yet she does not care simply by fact it is Dora. before we could not get her to be quiet and now we can't even get her interest simply by fact she is glued to Dora on the show screen. If the motor vehicle seat element does not artwork, this could be yet another decision. Even a transportable DVD participant will artwork.

firstly i agree with the bringing the car seat indoors and letting her play with it, so she dosnt just see it as confinement for the car... also check the positioning of the car seat in the car, can she see out of the windows and see you? babies like to look around and see where they are, then you can also talk about things around you as you go along.

try taking her out in the car for 5 mins at a time, and gradually lengthen the time til she gets used to the longer journeys, maybe a story c.d in the car or nursery rymes that you can sing along with.

and when she is in the car and not crying, praise her LOADS, but when she crys try not to make a big fuss of it, ignore it the best you can so she gets the message that that behaviour is not going to get her attention, but the "good" behaviour will get her loads of attention

good luck

She is probably having separation anxiety because she is facing the rear and can not see you. Try talking to her and singing songs. Play songs in your home and in the car to make them familiar and comforting. Play peek-a-boo with her. It is a great way to teach her that you are still there even if she can not see you. If these don't work, take heart. Two more months (depending on her weight) until she can be moved into a forward facing car seat.

EASY!!! I know exactly what to do, 10 months is the right age for confinement! They do not like to be confined!!

To get rid of this, put the car seat in your house and let your baby play with it, let her crawl, sit and play with it. She will learn to feel more comfortable with it when it's time for a ride.

there no easy way of making babies comfortable in there car seat. She might not like that she is strapped down in the seat. Let her play with it inside the home so she can get use to it.

She's got to the age where she realises that she can move independantly, she doesn't want to be cooped up in a seat. Unfortunately, there isn't anything you can do other than break your journey up into smaller sections to get her stretch out :)

Is the sun in her eyes? Make sure you have sun shades. That's the only other thing I can think of that hasn't been suggested already.

Make sure her straps aren't too tight and that they aren't digging into her shoulders.
