I was told by a shop assistant at a baby store today that jogging with your baby is frowned upon due to the possibility of Shaken Baby Syndrome occuring. This is why it's hard to find three-wheelers designed for runners in Australia according to her. I'd like to find out more about this but haven't come across too much information as yet. Is there a high risk of causing SBS if you take your one year old jogging on bitumen or hiking on unsealed tracks?

I have one child and have just found out i am expecting my second. Problem is, now i am impatient to get past that magical first trimester. I need to take my mind off the pregnancy for a while because i have 7 months left and i cant stop thinking that something might go wrong. Is that normal? And how can i think of something else and stop panicking that something will go wrong because i thought that you were only supposed to be so terrified when it is your first?

he is 2 weeks old and screams like he is in really bad pain sometimes when he poops, he is beastfed. i give him gas drops and they seem to help sometimes. his poop is the consistancy of a breastfed baby and has several dirty diapers a day. is there anything i can do to make pooping easier for him.

I personally feel that too much at this age could affect them negatively. I certainly don't want my 4 year old daughter thinking about a baby coming out of her vag*** at this point in her life. My daughter knows that her baby brother is coming out soon, but only knows about C-sections. I actually know someone who was affected negatively and became obsessive after learning about this at a young age. I have been reading on babycenter where mothers think it is ok to just talk about it all in detail and how it is better to let kids know about these things and will even let their young child watch them give birth. I completely disagree! Some just things need to wait until kids are older! You certainly cannot avoid the topic, but just don't need to expose them to too much at such a young age. What do you all think?

I'm not sure that my incision if infected, but I had a baby boy about three weeks ago and my incision has looked good up until now, it is a little bit more tender, and it is a deep red, the incision its self is not open and there is no drainage, so I cant tell if its sore and red because of infection or because I started to wear some of my tighter fitting pants again, anyone have an anwser, it would be greatly appreciated.

Alright, i'm filipino and in 8th grade. There are a group of filipina girls in my class, that keeps talking crap about me. Like for example, the stuff they are like i;m shame to the filipino culture because i don't speak the language, don't like the food much,etc.
There all full blooded, but i'm only half filipino. I just don't like to speak the language, i prefer other types of besides the traditional filipino food. So why are they saying stuff like that. They are so irrataing. It makes dislike the culture even more. Myparents are both filipnio but i have traces of spanish and japenese blood.
so what can i do so they will just drop it.

I just don't understand why do i hate her so much?? she is so selfish and everything just about her. And when i hear her voice i just felt like mosquito bugging on my ear. When i was in Indonesia (i was teenage) she always compare me with the other kids she always abuse me by slap on my face and calling me bad name.. she called me whore and the most i hate she always compare me with the other kids she was never acept me like who iam. I'm 16. Have always been responsible concerning my sex life. I've had one partner, my boyfriend of 9 months and we've just recently begun to have sex. I had been on Ovcon 35 (birth control pills) for about 9 days when we got carried away and for a few minutes we had sex without a condom. He did not finish in me, we finished with a condom. I'm worried about the potentcy of his pre-***, and whether I should be worried or not. I cannot tell me parents if I get pregnant and am preparing myself for the worst. I won't trouble my boyfriend with it, I feel its my responsibility. Will my familys insurance take care of termination costs? I don't have the money. How likely do you think it is that I am pregnant? I've been having milds back aches and cramps as well as sore breasts, but it could be a delayed effect from the pills, even though I had no prior side effects. Its only been 4 days since the unprotected sex. I am about 10 days away from my period on the pill. I need any opinions. Thank you

My son is 13.He is very outgoing and talkative at home and with a few select friends.His teachers all say he is very well behaved at school.He is very likable and he avoids conflict with other kids.My question is whenever we are out in the public and he sees one of his schoolmates and they speak to him he avoids them.He will look away from them like he is shy are he just does not want to be noticed by them.I dont know what is going on as I know he is a friendly guy.

As a teacher, I am longing for the days of Sarah and Michael. What happened to the glory days of pronoucable, realistic, and literary correctness in baby names? Was it just too much to name kids Kyle?

I am so tired of not being able to read a name without a parent-provided pronunciation key. If your baby name requires any sort of explaination, it is a terrible choice. If your baby name is not found in the top 1000 on the social security list, it is a terrible choice.

My question is simple: What happened to baby names? When did creativity become a prerequisite for child birth. Pick a name, spell it correctly, or plan for a college and therapy fund.

I'm 20 years old.
My partner and I don't really use birth control, we pull out every time. its been a year and a half of it we've been together.
But My last period... 2 1/2 weeks ago we neglected to pull out
But it was in the middle of my period that we did it.
(but if you're on your period your chances are slim right?)
Well I wouldn't be asking but..


I'm a really small person 105 lbs 5'6"
And I've been craving SO MUCH food. I'm snacking constantly its driving me crazy I can't help myself. I've never been like that.
Also my sleep schedule is SOOO off. I've been sleeping all the time. I'm so drowsy.
And I'm constantly having to pee.
But I couldn't have symptoms this early could I?

I am due in March and am registering for my shower tomorrow and have researched it seems like millions of diaper bags. Which do you think is best? I would like to spend $40 or less, I am planning to breast feed, so I shouldnt need tons of room like that Land's Inn bag, but I do like compartments so that everything doesnt just fall to the bottom...
