Pregnancy & Parenting - 21 January 2007

I am 14 (turning 15), and I was just thinking about differences between my parent's generation, and the present day kids. That also led me to thinking about what our kids will turn into in the future.

When my parents were children, they were respectful, appreciative of what they had, and they were overall good kids with good morals. However, I have realized that kids today have less and less of these qualities. Teens today don't appreciate the fact that they have the opportunity to all these wonderful things (like schooling), and instead, they slack off and give adults "I-don't-give-a-damn" attitudes.

So when I have children when I'm older, what will they turn into? There is a lot more sexuality in media, and kids today are a lot smarter than the kids of yesterday. Am I worrying too much?

Just recently, I believe that my six month old daughter just found her ears and her hair. She LOVES pulling my hair and holding on to it while I hold her--as with anyone else that holds her. So obviously, she's fascinated with hair.
Everytime I feed her (and only when I feed her, not anytime else), she grabbs at her ears and her hair. I know that she does not have an ear infection, she only grabs it occaisionally and she's not in pain or have a fever. She does not have head lice either.
Does anyone else think she just discovered her ears and hair? Please suggest some things you think may be going on. Thank you!

My last period was either Dec 15th or 18th. I was sick that week so it is kind of foggy as to the exact date. I was not taking my BC regularly, I constantly forgot, and ran out. My huband and I have decided to drop the BC, and if a baby comes then great. However...I have not gotten a period since then. I am obviously late, with no signs of AF coming. Is this normal..to be late? I have had unprotected sex numerous times. I took 2 tests last week and they were negative..should I test again?...Should I wait?

I just switched my son who just turned one to whole milk. I thought he was doing just fine. He pooped and his stools was kinda hard. And he puked a little bit and it was kinda in chunks and smelled rotten? I know the milk was not rotten??

Ok well let me start from the beginning. So this friday I was expecting the usual, my boyfriend pick me up for the weekend. But it was different. He had a "bridal shower" to go to... Well I asked.. why cant I go? I do live really close to you and you can pick me up and then everything will be just fine. My boyfriend was like NO we are all going in the same car when we get off work, there isn't enough room.. ect.. So I was like **** you. So I called him like 30 minutes later and he was at the mall? And says they made "reservations at dillards to open presents". Yeah I dident buy that bullshit so I called dillars and nobody was there opening presents. So I got my mom to take me to the mall and see if he was there and sure enough, he CAR (which he said he did take btw) was there. So Since the mall was closed by then he was in the movies, So I waited and he walked out with another girl. He ended up saying it was one of the ppl he works with sister and he had to take her home and i stayed..

I have been training her to go to the potty for a couple of months now. She just turned two. I have been training her without any diapers or pulls and she just recently learned how to pull her undies down. I just don't know how to train her when we aren't at home. She pretty much has it down when she is running around naked but when she has panties or pull ups on she just forgets about going. Does anyone have any advice?

He doesnt walk and he cant even stand up. He recieves PT and they put him in stander but cannot tollerate it for anymore then 10 min. He isnt talking and he doesnt wave bye bye or point. He smiles and he does make eye contact alittle. Does this sound like Autism? I keep thinking thats what he has but whenever i ask therepist they say no he makes eye contact. Can a child have Autism and still make eye contact? Iam getting a new doctor because iam not happy with the one i have. I really need some answers. He doesnt like to play with other children and hes not really interested in toys. If anyone out there might know what might be wrong with my son i would love to hear what you think or have to say. ive been sick since the 29th of december and couple of days after, my father gave me a antibiotic pill [mw not knowing that it was i took it] and yesterday i had unprotected sex with my fiance [he pulled out] am i'm worried if i should take a morning after pill again in case. I called to make my first OB visit. They don't want to see me until I'm about 10 weeks pregnant. Will I expect an ultrasound during this first visit? When is the sex of a baby determined?

I was supposed to start my period on jan 17th. I took a pregnancy test 4 days before my missed period (the one that you can take 5 days before your missed period) and it was negative, but now I am 3 days late. Did I take the test too soon?
