I worked as an autism therapist for a few years. A child CAN have autism and even though he or she may make eye contact. I would get a new therapist. Every child is different. Find someone who will give you better answers. The best thing to do is to get help early, so it sounds like you are on the right track.

All youthful ones walk at distinct cases. i understand that is utilising you loopy to work out and pay interest to about the youngsters who're walking previously than you son, yet realistically some youthful ones walk later than others. I assure you this has no longer something to do mutually with his intelligence or cognitive ability. My son did not walk till properly into his fourteenth month and my good pal has a son who took till his 16th. both youthful ones are very dazzling, properly-advanced, and energetic. i imagine that typically at the same time as they get round properly through crawling and walking alongside furniture they don't experience as a lot motivation to stroll. keep education with him. Stand him up so he's preserving onto something and then step about a foot away and inspire him to stroll to you. finally that worked for my son and then i'd keep putting more suitable distance between us. in the destiny he will commence letting bypass and walking some steps. it is going to take position quickly. under no circumstances once you want it to, i'm telling you. I had the digicam waiting SOOO many cases.

Definitly go to a new doctor... has your doctor indicated anything to you what he/she is thinking?
Have you told the therapist you are concerned that they have not told you anything? Have you seen the therapist long? Maybe he is still evaluating things, ask him next time when he is planning on telling you what he is thinking, I would even say you are getting frustrated that no one is telling you anything and tell them you are going for a second opinion if they are unwilling to tell you what is wrong with him. However do not burn bridges try and give him an opportunity to tell you his reasons for not informing you of his diagnosis, maybe they do not know yet? However I would be very concerned if my child was displaying this behavior so keep on being your child's advocate until you have the answers and medical team on your side.

First of all. don't get worked until u know u have something to worry about. My grandson is behind on everything he does physcial, he is 18 months and not walking alone, he did not like toys until he was over 1 and is not to fond of other kids' we worry also but his Dr says he will walk when he is ready, i would go to another Dr and get a total check up.; all kids are different so do not compare, we did that and it is badddddddddddd.

Your son seems to have alot of the same characteristics as my son Michael. He is in speech therapy and physical therapy, but we are starting to see some improvements. Where are you currently living? Have you seen like a pediatric neurologist or a pedantic genealogist? I would suggest seeing them. Good luck

I suggest taking him to other doctors until they can diagnose the problem. I know it has to be difficult but I will pray for you and know that God is in control of everything. Talk to God about the problem. He knows the answer and he can give you a peace about this situation that no one else can.

Seek a second opinion.
Heck, seek a third or forth even and go with your instincts.
