I am 32 and my husband is 33. We have one very healthy and happy 2 year old, and would like to have another. I recently miscarried (a week ago today). We were actually not planning the pregnancy, but were thrilled none the less. Anyway, I would like to try again soon, but I am scared to death that I will have another miscarriage. When I was pregnant with my daughter we had a very easy pregnancy, but a VERY difficult birth. She was born by c-section after 30 hours of labor... Is it possible that the c-section could be the reason for the miscarriage? Or maybe we are just getting too old, and our chances have already dropped?

My guy's ex gave birth early this morning, I went with him to the hospital.. It was a boy. I am happy for him but I also fee sad... He's been really sweet and tells me he know's home I'm feeling and I shouldn't worry... But I can't help it. We got home about 7.30 this morning, and went to sleep as we were so tired. He has gone back to the hospital this afternoon... I was so upset I couldn't even go and see the baby, is this normal or am I just being selfish? I want to be happy but at this moment in time I dont feel happy.

my daughter is 14 and very good looking and popular, she is a bit streetwise but not a hard nut, when she goes out i imagine all sorts of things and when shes late, as she always is, i am up the walls with worry just ready to call the police when she breezes in she thinks i over react but i am just concerned i know too well the dangers out there esp. for young girls. she is always in a crowd its only walking home that she would be alone it would be about 15 minutes she would have to walk alone to get home and its along a long road with very few houses and high trees at either side of the street, shes out now and im already worrying. am i crazy

My 15-year-old daughter has a 7-month-old baby(boy). She had had sex with that boy(18 years old),who doesn't care about the child and now he doesn't even live in our state. My daughter doesn't pay any attention to her son(who I love very much) and she only goes out with friends and doesn't care about the baby. How can I make her take some care of her son?She is 14,not 4,she is old enough to pay attention to a little child.

We did not teach him that- He goes to a day care with some kids about 4 years older than he and their parents have drug problems so the kids are probably screwed up- does he learn hitting from them.

Now before you are quick to judge, please listen to my story FIRST. My boyfriend and i have been together for 2 years. We are extremely commited to eachother, and plan on getting married in 2 years. We have had many pregnancy "scares", and have actually grown quite fond of the idea of having a child. However, I am 16 and he is 17. WAIT, let me finish. Both of us have already graduated from highschool and have very stable, well-paying jobs. We realize this is a serious commitment and a child is a human being, not a pet. We feel we are ready for this right now, and where we live (Hawai'i) it is socially acceptable to have children at a young age. I know this is a personal choice, but I want POSITIVE feedback from other people who do not know me, but have an open mind and open ears and are willing to give me their honest, KIND opinion. Thank you.

Yesterday was the first day that I kept track of how much formula my 4 month old baby drank. (First time in awhile at least). I can't believe she drank over 46 ounces! I quit feeding her cereal because I thought it was distrupting her sleep, but I think I better start feeding her cereal again. She is a big baby. She's not obese though, but just looks about the size of a 6 month old. She's tall also. I'll take any advice on the cereal or solid food thing. I just don't know how much and how often to feed her. I assumed I should stick with cereal for a week. It must have not been the cereal disrupting her sleep because she still woke up even when I didn't feed her.

I'm 27 , no girlfriend or anything yet so i'm not ahving a baby now. But i 'm just thinking because i see tv reports and sometimes people have trouble when their babies are born premature or with defects. Is there any measures parents should take to guarantee that the baby will be born ok. or is it just something that randomly happens no matter what you do. My sisters already married and had babies, and luckly they were born healthy. But i fear that i may be the one with bad luck

I just heard in california there working on a law that if you spank a child under the age of four, you can get a 10,000 fine and one year in jail. What are your thoughts on this? So would you threaten your child like this" Now Kathy do you want a 10,000 spanking?" Instead of," You better stop that or your not going to get a happy meal"

What things do you need to do, or not do, to prevent a miscarriage in your first trimester? It seems to be a really common occurance and I am trying to be really careful these 3 months.

I've read 2 views on this. One says if babies sleep too much in the day it will affect their sleeping in the night, mainly because they have their day and night mixed up. The other says if babies receive too much stimulation in the day when they are awake, they find it hard to go to sleep at night. So should I let sleeping babies lie?

Does anybody have any bright idea's on how I can get my 6 yr old son to stop walking on his toes? We've tried reminding him over and over. His friends make fun of him at school. No, he does not have a 'tendon' problem or anything physically wrong, we've checked that out too. I need some ideas. Rewards for walking flatfooted dont help either.
