What things do you need to do, or not do, to prevent a miscarriage in your first trimester? It seems to be a really common occurance and I am trying to be really careful these 3 months.

Most 1st trimester miscarriages are un avoidable and due to something not being right with the pregnancy. Their is nothing you can do to privent a miscarriage as this stage. I did everything right when i was pregnant and i miscarried at 7 weeks.

Its more commen these days because more people find out earlier that they are pregnant.

just follow doctors advise, drinking and smoking dont cause miscarriage but can cause problems to your baby so give those up. Stress is bad also so try not to worry and have lots of rest, and take vitimens.

Any bleeding or cramps at all get checked out cause that can be a threatened miscarriage.

If the worst happens and you do miscarry then remember that their is very little you can do in the 1s trimester to cause a miscarriage yourself.

Good Luck

Most women have miscarriages and don't even know it. Follow advice given by your doctor such as no heavy lifting and eating right. Some miscarriages and unavoidable, so DON'T STRESS about that. Take your prenatal vitamins and think positive, YOU'RE HAVING A BABY!

Don't listen to any of the replies below that place blame. Have your progesterone level checked. Progesterone Crinone 8%does prevent miscarriage when the levels are too low or trying to drop. I have a 6 year old miracle to prove it after 14 miscarriages.

Eat healthy, drink lots of water, take vitamins, see a doctor on a regular basis.... Sometimes, miscarriages are unavoidable though.

You cannot prevent them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But do do everything right, but my dr. told me a miscarriage is not because a wrong thing was done, it was mother nature's way of saying the baby was not able to make it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Take your vitamins and eat right and of course no alcohol and drugs or smoking, but a chromosomal problem will end with a miscarriage 1 out of 5!!!!! Do not think of a miscarriage and you will probably be fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck to you!!!!!!!!!!!
