Pregnancy & Parenting - 21 January 2007

My 19-year-old daughter got in a wreck last week when she rear-ended a truck in front of her. At that point she got a ticket and I found out that she had a suspended license for not paying a previous speeding ticket. We bought her the car, and it is insured on our insurance. Since she apparently doesn't have a drivers license she was told she couldn't drive any of our other vehicles (as hers is totalled). Last night we went to some other people's house and she took the truck (expensive $40,000 vehicle) without permission.

My husband (her step-dad) called the police and reported it stolen and asked that she be arrested. We also found out that she had been drinking prior to taking the truck. They didn't catch her and she had the truck returned before the cops caught up wiht her.

What would you have done? Did we overreact?

If I thawed out breast milk and did not use it immediatly how long is it good for?

I am a breastfeeding mom and I am going back to work next week. I have been pumping and freezing my milk so we won't have to use formula but I have NO IDEA how much milk I need to send. My son is 7 weeks old.
Any other breast feeding moms that went back to work around this time? Around how many ounces was your baby drinking each feeding from the bottle? How much milk did you need to supply your child care provider with for an 8 to 9 hour work day?

My little girl is in kindergarten.
Her teacher want she bring 100 items to expose in a 100 "museum". She need to speak about the own collection (like a show and tell).
My child doesn't want bring any beans (she think is boring talk about beans), her dinosaurs or dolls are too big. What can she bring??? Can be something homecraft, but need to be ready for Jan 24.

my son had his tonsils out 2 days ago and is having problems even eating popcicles. all he has been able to eat is beef broth , chicken broth, and warm tea. he is crying for food saying he is hungry but he is tired of soup. anyone know of anything that would be extremely easy to sallow... ps he hates jello

I added otha symp. that I have been havin so no its not the same question at all... think I may be prego.My pms isnt due 4 another 4 to 5 days.I went 2 the doc on the 15th & got a blood test & it came back neg.I took a home prego test & it was neg.I been having the followin symptoms:very nausious but has gone down a lot, brests are very tender & seem to be gettin heavier, I have had serious crampin & stomach & back aches rite round my pelvic area & lower back.I am on the lowest aff. bc,I also started the pill 2 days late,on two other pills that pretty much cancel out the bc pill, dont use protection,he pulls out.We have sex about every day or so.Wat r the chances of me bein prego? My body feels diff. to me.Oh yes, & my appitite has gone up A LOT! I'm thinkin I am but I'm not sure. can anyone help please?Another thing, my body just feels achy everywhere,exspecially around my feet & on my legs.Is that another sign of bein prego? Serious answers only please

I'm considering adding an english name upon becoming a U.S. citizen. I just wondering, since my native name is already unique, i should get a common english name.
My native first name is Bao Chau (people call me bao, pronounced bow). It means precious treasure. My last name is Nguyen.
What would you consider for an American name?

He argues with me constantly, and he will not do what I tell him to do(clean his room, homework). I yell at him he ignores me. I don't want to spank him because he might hit me back. she just point blank refuses to have it she has her morning bottle fine has porrage for breakfast and two meals one of meat veg potato and cheese sauce and the other pasta or lentils meat and veg with a tomato sauce two milk puddings.is it too soon to just stop this bottle if she does have any of it its about 3 oz.

I saw a docomentary on tv about a twin beening born inside another, there also wass a featured article about a liitle boy from another country that had the other twin was removed, and the other twin was not quite developed and the contents was placed in a jar, it also states that thia is a rare condition, could you tell me the name of thia condition. I have looked everywhere for this. I do beleive that it was mention as a baby inside of a baby.

My sister is pregnant for the first time and now is in her second trimester. She hasn't been mentioning the gender of the baby though, maybe to surprise us later on.
My mother thinks she is having a boy since she has not had morning sickness at all. She said (my mom) that when she was pregnant with girls she was sick a lot, but with my brother she wasn't.

Is this a possible way to determine the gender?

I'd wish she'd tell us soon so i can go shopping for baby clothes.
