when my daughter was 5 mths i started her on rice cereal she loved it...as she got older though,i became very worried that she would choke it was my biggest fear so she was having custards and cereals and all that but as far as biscuits and toast went i couldnt do it i was terrified .... a friend who has lots of kids kinda made me feel like i was doing the wrong thing because i wasnt giving her sandwiches at the age of 7 mth i was too scared to even give her soft steamed carrot! but then a while later i just wasnt scared anymore and she was eating everything she is two now and she eats just like every other 2 yr old.. she will even eat stir fry's for me....obviously its not an issue anymore i just wanted to hear other mothers thoughts on this as im trying to fall again and i know im going to be as scared the second time as i was the first so when did you start giving your little ones toast, biscuits and stuff?????

hi there.i just found out i was pregnant.as we werent sure how far i was we had a scan done to confirm due dates.when the midwife was measuring the baby it was measuring 6 weeks 4 days but the sac was measuring 7 weeks 5 days.so i have to go back for another scan on the 30th of january to get my proper due date as the baby will be bigger and easier to get measurements.has anyone ever heard of this happening before? i knw i havent.many thanks for any help,michelle.

My baby is now 4 months old but from birth she has been a very sicky baby, she constantly has a bib on i have to change her up to 3 times a day and myself, my carpets are covered in sick i use 2 or three terries a day. i would say she only keeps down half of her bottle if im lucky shes gain weight though. I already have a child and she was concidered sicky but nowhere near this bad, any ideas

my little girl who is 5 years old has just been sent home from school with aching back and legs, and a high temp. when my husband picked up my little girl the teacher told him that chickenpox is going around the school, she has had all her imms but im not sure if she has them as there is no rash. i am 18 wks pregnant and know there is only a small risk to my unborn child but would feel a little better knowing if my little girl had chickenpox.

Me and my wife had an argument. I said we should spank our kids as a disciplinary action. She says we should give them a nice "talking to" or a "timeout". I dont want my kids to grow up to be little ******* but I dont want them to be violent. What should I do?

Lately , I have been cold (not just normal cold cause of the wheater) but my body feels cold wheter I am a sweat suit and have my coat on or in my house with my pajamas. I told my mom and she said my eye looked 'glassy' to her , my left foot was trembling (her words) and that I felt warm to her.

So, I thought it was just a one time thing but its happened over and over since then.

I have also been falling asleep all the time, like when I get home from school I can get a snack make one call and go in my room soon as I am done with that all you see is me sleep on my bed. I cant keep from not falling a sleep. I go to bed at 9:30 and wake up at 6.

Should this be an alert to me?

(I told my mom after I asked about just being cold and she said that there was nothing wrong with be, but she also said that with my brothers ear infection that made him lose his hearing (not her fault) , and my brother asthama (5 hospitalizations in one winter))

Hi everyone,
I have been feeling really nauseous and I am on CD 51 I have been dizzy and having headaches and feeling bloated, lower backache and being very moody (poor hubby)and very tired, I don't have sore breast but I didn't with my last two pregnancies (both ended in m/c). I have never been even close to being this late. But I did a hpt on Saturday and it was negative. I am not under any more stress then normal. I spoke to the doctor and he said to wait another week, but they wont do a blood test. How late were you when you tested positive on a hpt?

I am a custodial stepparent of a 4 year old. He recently tried to stick his penis in his 12 month old baby brothers mouth. We decided that this was not normal behaviour and have made an appt to take him to a child psychologist to see if they can get any info about where he learned this. About a month ago, he started pitching a fit when his mom came to pick him up to visit. We have all concluded that we think it may be his 11 yr old stepbrother that did this (mom thinks this may be the case too). The stepbrother is her husbands son and visits the same time that ours does. My husband decided that it would be best for her to visit him here or take him out to eat until his doctor appt and we find out what happened. She flipped out and is threatening to call her attorney. Did we handle this correctly? Our thoughts are to keep him safe, not keep him from his mom. At first, she was upset but cooperative but now she is angry and vindictive. This is not about us it is about him.

I remember being at school and we were hardly told anything. In fact I didn't know a thing until I was 12. It seems the more kids know the more they want to try it. It is like putting sweets in front of a four year old and saying you can look and touch but don't eat them. Does anyone else think that kids Know too much rather than too little? Or do you think they are being taught too much about sex and pregnancy and not enough about the other concequences?.

Im worried?
I take microgynon 30 and have been doing for the past 15 months. I take 3 packs of 21 in a row because I suffer with painful periods and that is what the doctor has described. In November I took a couple of pills at different times than I normally do and had unsafe sex. Im due to stop taking my pill next Tuesday and my period is due the following friday. I have gone to the loo today and there has been the slightest bit of blood, its clear and not much but its concerning me now as it hasnt happened before!?

Our baby will be 1 month this Sunday and my husband had the first 3 weeks off to help me with the baby. He told me if I needed anything to ask him, but every time I'd ask him for something he'd huff and puff about it, so I'd say never mind I'll do it myself. Now that he went back to work he hasn't helped me at all...he says hes tired when he gets home from work. I tell him I'm tired and haven't slept yet, but he says "what do you mean you're tired? You've been sitting around the house all day!" even though I'm constantly taking care of the baby.

Just 30 mins ago the baby woke us up crying, and I had to go to the bathroom so I asked my husband to watch him while I did that. So I got to the bathroom (and I can hear the baby screaming the whole time) and I go back in the room and he put the baby in the bed with him and went back to sleep (put his pillow over his own head so he wouldn't have to hear the baby scream)...I just can't take it and I'm getting stressed, what should I do?

Hi everyone,

I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and we were TTC for a fair while, but have put all the stress it brang on hold for a while and stopped TTC so much, but still having unprotected sex.

My periods are always irregular due to the PCOS, however I had a full, proper period, last on the 26th of November, lasting for 5 days, quite heavy.

We have been having unprotected sex since the first few weeks into December, and every now and again since then.

Yesterday, when I went to the loo, there was (sorry, girly ick stuff now!) a tiny streak of pinkish blood in a mass of clear and white discharge.... Only once off, then it went away... Then today, a pale pink discharge after a slight tummy cramp, but then again, nothing again later.

Just a bit weird, doesn't feel like I'm getting my period.

Is such a discharge a sign of pregnancy, and when in their pregnancy it happened to them? I would be 7 weeks if I am preg. and lots say it happens about then.
