Im worried?
I take microgynon 30 and have been doing for the past 15 months. I take 3 packs of 21 in a row because I suffer with painful periods and that is what the doctor has described. In November I took a couple of pills at different times than I normally do and had unsafe sex. Im due to stop taking my pill next Tuesday and my period is due the following friday. I have gone to the loo today and there has been the slightest bit of blood, its clear and not much but its concerning me now as it hasnt happened before!?

I also take the same pill and have taken it at various times too, it wont matter what time of day you take the pills as long as it isn't more than 12 hours after the previous days time which means possibly taking it early hours of the morning.

If your still worried then see you doctor but I'm sure the bleeding is perfectly normal as your near the end of your pack and your body is probably just getting ready for the next period.

Hope this helps

:)

I was on microgynon for years and used to find that once a year or so I would get some bleeding about a week before my period was due, which would then continue until my period was over. It almost always happened if I took 2 packs in a row.

Looks like everyone has said what I would say - I took this pill and it was really effective, even if I was a day late (not that I am recommending doing that, I may have been lucky). Spotting is normal too, especially as you are getting near your period. If you are very worried though, do go see your GP.

Hi, I also take pills concurrently in fact I never take a break, however I have noticed that if I take one late or forget I can very quickly get my period. So what you are probably experiencing is breakthrough bleeding. It's extremely unlikely that you are pregnant.

sounds normal to me... sometimes its happens when you take microgynon like that.. i did something like that last summer while on Holiday and had slight spotting but had a normal period at 3 days after the last tablet

microgynon can cause irregular bleeding or can stop bleeding all together wouldn't be too worried but if you are concerned you could go back to the doctor that prescribed it to you and discuss these worries with them they should be able to advise you more on this

I don't thnk you have anything to be worried about but maybe you should go along to the GP and explain that you are worried. It is nearly the weekend there is no point in worrying about it so go to the GP
