my child's not yet old enough to begin potty training, but we have decided to use stickers. it's going to be more of a sticker picture than anything. the plan is when she goes for the first time, she will get to help us design the sticker paper. a piece of poster board. she can draw whatever she likes and we'll just help her. then each time she does go into the potty she can place a sticker on her picture. then at first when we go a whole day without an accident she can add a piece of paper to place the stickers on, and then make it for a whole week, then month. each time she can draw and add a little scene to the pic one. we have a large hallway wall right in front of the bathroom and this is where we plan to put all of this. i don't believe in punishing or disapointment type of sayings when she has an accident, because it is just that an accident and she's learning. but i do not plan to tell her that the accident is ok. just to explain that next time she feels like she needs to potty, please let us know and we'll go to the potty. good luck. i think a book or some other type of activity would be best for while on the potty and stickers as the reward. they're cheap and an easy incentive. good luck. just pick what you think will work best for your child and stick with it. it's a learning experience for everyone.

You use the potty stickers after the child does pee pee pr poopie in the potty with out a mistake. Only use these when they do it correctly, so they know that it is an incentive for doing a good job. Never give the child a sticker any other time. That way they are working to go potty the right way. I would even let them pick out stickers they like so they are part of the trainning process.

You use them as a reward. You can make a chart and every time the child uses the potty they get a sticker. You ca also say that every 10 or 15 or whatever # stickers they will get a bigger prize...

My friend uses the sticker method. She gives her daughter stickers after she uses the potty. Try getting a sticker book that comes with stickers. Then every time she uses the potty she can pick a sticker and put it in her sticker book.
Best of luck!
