So I think my Daughter is beautiful (but what mother doesn't?) Anyways, I have been told that I should try to put her in a beauty pagent, I have looked online and have had no luck. I would like to find her an agent too and have had no luck. We are in the Colorado Springs area of Colorado. Any suggestions?

I wasn't asking for people to be rude. I was asking if you knew how to get her into it. I thought it would be fun to put her in a pagent. My Mother put my older brother in one when he was a baby.. just for fun you know. I figure why not. You people that say Jon Benet are rediculas, Im not going to put makeup on my 3 month old.. I just want to show her off a little sheesh, And I thought it would be neat. So if you are going to be rude, don't respond :)

I know what youre saying, my daughter is 3 and i of course i think she the most beautiful thing ever =) people have said i should do it, but i couldnt find anything about it eaither. i didnt want to do it more then once, just wanted somthing she could look back on. dont worry what other people on here are saying, you sound like a great mother who is just pround of her baby girl.

Im not totally against this I just would never put my daughter in one, and beleive me she is a little doll. I have heard that it puts a lot of pressure on the parents and even though they say it doesnt matter what others think. The first time the child looses the parents are upset. I wouldnt bother with this stuff untill she was older and she chooses to do it. If you are really really wanting to do this though. There are plenty of magazines that do the contest, and you should be able to look up baby pagents online somewhere. Best of luck

What about tv or magazine ads? This poses a lot less stress on the child. Have you seen Little Miss Sunshine? I know Hollywood dramatizes things but it is a good portrayal of the baby beauty pageant industry. I would get the little beauty into modeling ads first.

im sorry but i dont know where to find out about pagents.. but in regards to ur question.. i think its a cute idea.. there is absolutely nothing wrong with putting ur baby in a pagent or two.. just because u want to put ur baby in a pagent does not mean ur gonna get all crazy with it! pagents are cute and are meant to be fun! good luck!

DON'T. I've known countless children who have grown up winning pagents and they are almost universally brats. there is nothing you can do, its the whole pagent atmosphere and you can't say that you don't approve because the very fact that you no only let her but started her coming is proof that you do. love and enjoy your beautiful baby, take tons of pictures, send them to all your friends and family. everyone will be happier and healthier.

A ridiculous concept on every level - why can't people just let babies be babies - we're all judged enough later in life.
(Sorry, I'm sure your daughter is gorgeous - just be content with that. You don't need some trophy to justify what you already know. It is parental vanity, no more)

Just love her and let her grow up. I think such pageants and the like are exploitation at best, child abuse at worst. Whoever told you that should have his/her values checked.

hope you know its a lot of money. you may raise a superficial child as well, teaching her that looks are so important. i wouldn't do it.
