Alright, i'm filipino and in 8th grade. There are a group of filipina girls in my class, that keeps talking crap about me. Like for example, the stuff they are like i;m shame to the filipino culture because i don't speak the language, don't like the food much,etc.
There all full blooded, but i'm only half filipino. I just don't like to speak the language, i prefer other types of besides the traditional filipino food. So why are they saying stuff like that. They are so irrataing. It makes dislike the culture even more. Myparents are both filipnio but i have traces of spanish and japenese blood.
so what can i do so they will just drop it.

hey dont worry about it. I mean, who cares?
im half korean, half italian-irish, and i cant speak korean well. I only know a few words. and i never liked the food! (i prefer american food). those people are just fobs. and even if they do talk crap about u, thats like what, .5% of your school? that means 99.5 people dont care about that!
only those few. And dont worry, i grew up in Ohio, and when i came to LA in 8th grade..even though people here spoke SUCH better korean than me, i didnt care! and neither did they. I mean, thats rediculous. Why would they talk crap about you? TELL them they're losers or something. haha, jk. dont. but i mean, i dont think its a big deal. Ive NEVER heard of someone saying stuff like this before.
So dont worry about it. That's so rare! I mean, your HALF. So what! You have an excuse at least. I have a friend whos full korean, and he cant speak a word either! His parents dont care, and neither does the rest of the world, so why should he? Plus, some of my girl friends thought it was cute, because he spoke korean "cute-ly". Go figure. Dont worry about it! Completely ignore them. Don't show that they are bothering you in any way. Don't acknowledge ANYTHING they say. From one filipino mix to another, you will find that many people will find your look exotic and will appreciate you and your culture, regardless of the mixture, upbringing, etc. Ignore those girls -- they're either jealous or trying like a child to get your attention. Most people have lots of different "blood" in their heritage, whether they realize it or not. Be proud of the person you are. That's what is important. DNA means nothing. :)
If it bothers you that they are saying things like this to and about you, tell someone you trust. It's not ok to discriminate against someone based on the things you mentioned.

ignore them. they are 8th grade girls. enough said. be who you are, and if you want to learn Tagalog, or whatever dialect you want, then do it. they won't change into what you want them to be.
i don't blame you about the food! fish heads, whole shrimp staring at me, etc! ew. not to mention the pig roasts.
lumpia (spelling?) is good, though.
step-family is filipino, so i've been one of the 3 white people sitting there at a party before!
you can't change your background, so don't feel bad.

Tell your teacher. They are discriminating against you because of your race and that's not cool. It would be just the same if they were picking on you because you were white it black. Tell these girls that you had no idea that Philippians's where racist, and that you are disgusted by what they say. Tell then that even if they wanted to be your friends that you would not want to be because of the disgusting words they say

Putang ina mos. Call them that and see if they say stuff about you again. Tagalong is funny and easy to learn. Tell them in plain English that you don't care what they say and it's non of their business what you like or dislike. Ask them why they don't learn English.

oh.. why do you care about that girls..?? maybe you are so handsome so they like to find "something " about you.. i guess You never know it.. you just feel they annoying but maybe they try to get close with you.. who knows??
since you are from the mix family so you must be so handsome and just ignore it.. it will go away..

Ignore them. You are who you are and they are trying to change you to match their "mold". Be a leader, not a follower. Ignore them and their comments and live above their standards to be your own person.
