Pregnancy & Parenting - 19 January 2007

I took the first responce test and the line that is suppose to be the second line is extremely faint- in fact I did not notice it when I first looked at it- The other line is really dark and the second line is so light it really doesn't show up- but I did see something- Does anyone know if the faintest line maybe having the hormone but not a very strong yet-
Today is the day I am to get my period and I have not got it yet so I just decided to take the test-

I let him watch the movie "The Exorcist", and then told him if he dont stop this **** being scared then I'm going to lock him in his room with audio of that movie playing outside the door all night long. to be exact im 24 weeks and 3 days! anyway, yesterday i was getting a tightening feeling across my bump, and i knew that it was fine as my midwife told me that i will start getting them soon. last night i woke up in so much pain i screamed the house down, i phone the hospital and they said just to relax its normal, and my midwife is happy that my baby's fine, but i'm still worried, has anyone else had Braxton Hicks like this or heard of them? also, i have a 12 hr+ day at work tomorrow, do u think i'm ok to go in?

Yesterday I was baby sitting my best friends 7 year old boy, He went down to the play room with my 2 year old. After a while they had gotten to quiet so I went to see what they were up to. I found my 2 year old with his pants down and the 6 year old touching his penis.Well I must say I was very upset but I tried to stay calm and deal with it in an apropreate manner.I Thought that it might just be a case of curieosity.So I sat the 6 year old down to talk to him about what's ok and not ok.During the talk I asked him if this had ever happend before.He told me yes that his neighbor had done this with him.When my friend came to get him I told her what he told me.She said that he played with three girls around home so it was no big deal. I know one of the girls is around 11. I know I am not his parent But i love this little boy like my own and I can't help but wonder if something is just not rite. Should I try and talk to My friend about it or am I just over reacting ?

My 9-year-old daughter is a witness to a murder(she was just passing by at the time).She has been subpoenad as a witness in the supreme court next week.How do I prepare her not to be scared?She doesn't seem to be scared,maybe a little excited and she doesn't feel scared of what she saw.But in the court there are going to be a lot of people,a judge...what should I do to help her?

I went to the doctor yesterday (Thursday) and she checked me and said i was dilated 3cm YAY for me. Anyway I live about an hour and a half from the hospital i want to give birth at. If need be she will be born where i am currently residing. In any other case i want her born at that certain hospital. My question is how far apart should the contractions be before i decide to head to the hospital since its an hour and a half away?

i have dreft laundry detergent for my baby clothes but when i dry clothes i use a dryer sheet. can i use dryer sheets on baby clothes or is it best to just dry them without?

I have a 5 yr old grandson who from the first day of his life had to fight a battle. He is phycially challanged and has a prostysis on his right leg, but gets around great. Due to his disability and uncaring parents, they did not attempt potty training until he was 4. Now parents are divorced, and very bitter with each other and use the kids to get even. I know the child needs counciling, but I have no legal authority over that. I am just looking for ways to work with him when I see him to encourage him to stay dry.

My sisterinlaw is mad at me because I told my son if anyone tries to kiss his peepee that he should smack them. Now he thinks he has an excuse to hit her 6 year old she says. I realized it was wrong so I told my son not to smack anyone and that he should tell me or an adult about it.

ok i know some of u are like what ur 17, but i was pregnant at 16 and my baby died when i was 5 1/2 months pregnant, it was the worst day of my life, i could feel her moving and everything. i wanted to be everything for her. some may say it was a blessing, but i feel like there is a piece of my heart missing and i wanna wait until the right time to get pregnant, but i feel so empty, and my friend just had a baby, i am happy for her, but i am also jealous, because i know that is suppose to be me :(

i want to get rid of these feeling because i dont need to be having a kid, but i want to really badly, my boyfriend and i have been talking about it!!!!

i dont know if i will ever really get over my baby dying unless i get pregnant, but i know it isnt the right time!!!

anyone have any ideas on how to help me

I have a lively precious 11 month old son. He is the light of my life but he still doesn't sleep through the night. It is really wearing on me. I give him a bath, use the lavender baby wash that is supposed to help him sleep through the night, he gets a meal and a bottle before he goes to bed to ensure he's not hungry, a clean diaper, everything I can think of. He still wakes up 1-2 times a night, every day of the week. He's almost a year old and lately I've been getting really frustrated with the situation. I'm so tired. I'm tired of getting up twice a night. When you get up in the middle of the night for almost a year straight, you start to get upset! He currently isn't teething or anything. I don't understand what's waking him up. I got up and put him back to bed twice last night and he woke up for a third time. I was so exhausted I let him cry it out for only the 2nd time in his whole life. I feel incredible guilt. Any suggestions? What should I do? Is cry it out wrong?? Help!
