Pregnancy & Parenting - 19 January 2007

Her left shoulder is smaller and lower than her right shoulder. I took her to the doctor today and she recommended we go to a bone doc because she says it's not something they see very often. She mentioned something about ribs and something about not growing at the same rate on one side.
We have an apt. with the specialist Feb. 1st.
My daughter is 21 months old and it seems to have become more pronounced with age.

My daughter is 5 and has asthma; so every cold that she gets settles right in her chest and makes for a very nasty cough. Well this is my daughters first year in public schools and I have received a letter in the mail yesterday and a phone call from the counselor today regarding her absenteeism. Do you think the schools should be more concerned with a childs attendence if there is a valid medical condition that is prohibitting them from attending school or the individual childs health? my irritation comes from the question the counselor left me "what can we do to have your daughter here every day?" well if there was a pill to cure her asthma or magically make her immune to colds by all means! she'd be there everyday; but there isn't and as a mother my concern and my first priority is that my child is healthy; if she's not whats the point in sending her to school if she's sick and not able to retain whats being taught! What do you think?

Hi
LMP is 11/22/06, mabye ovulated 15 days later.First ultrasound showed an empty sac, around 6-7 weeks pregnant. Second ultra sound done 7-8 weeks, and showed a fzzy line. Dr said not sure what it is, maybe blood. There is no fetal pole or heat beat detected yet. The Dr says I have a 5o-50 chances but is dicouraged. Has anyone had the same thing and had normal pregnancy? Please help

I just had my very first blood test done to check to see if I am possibly pregnant. The nurse on the phone already placed an order to my pharmacy for prenatal vitamins because she said she's certain i'm newly pregnant. The nurse who did the bloodwork said "oh your pregnant, I know! I do this all the time and sweetheart, I'm telling you yes!"
I barely had a positive urine test (not even sure it WAS positive - it was a VERY faint 2nd line after looking at it a 2nd time). No second line appeared when I took a 2nd urine test the next day (i told the nurse all of this over the phone) I'm afraid that Monday they will tell me "no your not pregnant. sorry." and i'm going to be devastated. Should they be doing that?

She's 7 months old, and I'm constantly on the go. If I'm at a restaurant, I will frequently breastfeed her before the food shows up so she's a happy and content baby. People always stare, and the waitstaff frequently avoid our table.

At the airport, picking up my hubby, I had quite a long wait - and did not hesitate to breast feed. In addition to the staring, a teenage girl pointed and made a rude comment within hearing range.

I try to be discrete, but I honestly don't see what the big deal is. I'm in the midwestern US - is it that I'm in a conservative location? Or have others experienced this problem?

What should I do? I sometimes feel like confronting the starers/ commenters, but I never have.

Her daddy is Zulu, and he's always amused by Midwestern values. He just doesn't understand why it causese such a fuss.

my daughter poops in her diaper usually every other day and it seems like she has a hard time when she does. like she grunts for about an hour then poops. so then would it be safe to give her baby apple juice? and put half water in it.

me and my husband (we're 19 and 20 yrs. old) has had sex over and over again for the past 3 weeks. the last time we did it was last monday because i was supposed to start last week. i've had my PMSing symptoms and everything...cramping, sensitive breast, intense mood swings, always tired yada yada. even though i had all the symptoms, nothing happened. i haven't started my period. i was supposed to start 6 days ago!!! i haven't gotten the "morning sickness" thing though. maybe once or twice last week, but not too intense (no vomit). so before i spend 15 bucks on a test, can i get some opinions?

I am 22 weeks pregnant with a little boy and we are trying to figure out whether to circumsize him or not. My husband is European and no one over there unless you are jewish is. He is fine with allowing are boy to be. But I am thinking I might not why subject him to that pain as a baby if I do not have to.
What I am trying to figure out is how many people out there have not circumsized their boys. I just donlt want me son to be the odd ball if he is the only boy that is not circumsized.

I am scheduled for my first ultrasound this coming week. It will be a Trans-vaginal ultrasound. I am taking my boyfriend, and I am just wondering what to expect. Will we see the baby? Silly question, I know, but I find it hard to believe you can see them this early on. Also, I am worried. What if we don't hear a heartbeat? I'm just being a worry-wort, but I hardly feel pregnant right now. Initially I was lightheaded, had a cold, cramps, etc. Now, the only sign of pregnancy I have is sore breasts.
