why was my son born with pneumonia at birth?

my doctor never told us why my son was born with pneumonia. he just told us he dosent know why he was born with it. the doctor never told us anything was wrong when i would go for docotor visits.

the docotr never told us why my son was born with it. i was induced one week early because the doctor said the baby was too big for my body. after getting induced and getting my water broken for me i only dilated to 3. i was in labor for 11 hrs. until the doctor said i needed a c-section because the babys head is starting to get hard. after my son was born he told us my baby had pneumonia. but when we asked how and why, he just told us he didnt know why.

With the difficult labor you had it's possible that the baby sucked in some of the amniotic fluid or meconium during the labor process.

I hope he's on antibiotics and is doing well now.
