Yahoo groups has many many mommy groups were you can chat with other local mothers and you can meet up for playdates - social interaction for both of you. I actually run one in NY and I have met and made many life long friends like that. Also local libraries have free programs for kids and thier moms.

You could try mommyandme or try your local sports league. There are several sports that start at age 3.
