yes your sugar intake can affect your glucose test...your body isn't the same when your pregnant and you could make yourself have gestational diabetes....

Well, put it this way my younger sister had a mountian dew about two hours before her glucose test, she had to do the test twice because of her sugar content. My sister in law went on vacation the weekend before her test fri-sun and I think her test was on mon (not sure) and she had tons of sugary foods (chocolate strawberries, fudge, etc.) while on vacation. She had to do the test twice as well and also had to monitor her glucose for the remainder of her pregnancy because they thought she may get diabeties. If you eat loads of sugar right before they test your blood sugar, yes it will affect your tests. Best bet is to try to eat healthy, not only for you, but also for your baby.

Yes it will affect it. Also, avoid the temptation to not eat sugar on the day of the test. You must eat your normal diet in order for the tests to be accurate and allow the doctor to do their job properly. Amazingly how many people change their eating habits for tests, not realizing that since it may change the results of the test they may not be getting the best possible advice.

Yes. But when they do the 2ND glucose screening test they ask you to be fasting so it may affect the first one but not the 2ND.
