I have heard that you shouldnt eat certain things when you are pregnant, for example-hot dogs and deli meats (like on a sandwhich) what happens if you dont know your pregnant yet and you eat something like my examples, will you def. hurt your baby?

I am due on September 4th. I was just wondering what are everyone else's due dates and if you're excited, nervous, etc. How's everything going? What # pregnancy and so on. This is my fifth (and final) child. My twins are 6, my daughter is 5, my son is 11 months, and hopefully this on is a girl. I kind of have a feeling it is because it seems like my pregnancy with my other daughter and it's totally different than my last pregnancy.

Everything 15 min. theres a weird popping, clicking sound coming from my stomach (I don't feel anything, just hear it). You know when you open a jar and the cap pops? Thats what it sounds like, just not as loud.
I looked it up and saw that many other women had the same thing but they were all at least 25 weeks. It's been happening for about 2 weeks everyday. What is it? Should I be worried?

It was about a month ago when she had her second C-section. Every thing went fine. Two days ago she was lifting her older daughter out of the car and she felt a sharp pain. After that, the oain never went away. She went to her doctor and they told her that she might have infection and that they might have felt a lump that could possibly be a hematoma. They gave her antibiotics and pain medication and said to go to the ER if it wasn't better by the next day. It wasn't better by the next day so she went to the ER. They did a CT scan and nothing showed up. The kept her at the hospital over night. She has no fever, blood pressure is normal, blood count is normal, they said they think the lump that was found was from her scar tissue, probably an adhesion. She is on fluids and antibiotics through IV. They can't seem to find what is wrong with her. Also they said that she doen't have any infection which they first thought she did. She is still at the hospital, getting frustrated.

I know that breastfeeding will give me a stringer bond with my child, but doesn't this mean that the child's father will miss out on the bonding experience gained during bottle feeding?

I have applied to 2 different angencies to be an egg donor. I am currently going through the screening process at one and will start today with the other. The one I have already started with, I had a face to face interview, exam and so on. The one today is already giving me my psych. evaluation... over the phone! I haven't met with anyone face to face, haven't been examined by them or anything. Only filled out the questionare and sent photos. Is that normal? Shouldn't the clinics want to screen the potential donors before placing them in thier registry? Is my safety being compromised if I am placed with a match from the second one? What if physically, I'm not a good canidate for ED? Seems like they should make sure before they get a couples hopes up. Any thoughts on this? I want to help a couple in need, but don't feel good about lining the pockets of a big business that seems more about greed than helping people.

What are my chances of getting pregnant with the "pre-sperm" clear stuff that comes out of my husband before the actual sperm (having unprotected sex). Is it just as "powerful" as the actual sperm, can you get pregnant from it? Are the chances more like 50/50, lower than 50%, or higher than 50%?

We have a 11 year old and a 151/2 year old (whom does have a job 16 hours a week at a restaraunt). Have tried different things for chores, but does not last. I know everything is about consistancy. They have only 2 things that are there expected of them. School first and there own bedrooms, which are usually a disaster. Upon the usual-house, yard, dog, cat, we are also putting on an addition and remodeling to our 55yr. old home, key word WE meaning doing all ourself. Point being, we need to regain control of this issue with our kids, right now! Hello- more house=more care. I can not keep up now, and feel there is no reason they should not be helping daily. My new thought is to either assign or let them pick a room, and have to keep it clean for the week, then switch each week. At this point, I need serious feedback from others. So, chores, allowance and results of a non-cooperative child, is appreciated Respectful advice/ideas is what this overwhelmed mom needs. GOOD DAY!

I woke up this morning with really light cramping really low. It feels like period cramps but not nearly as bad and they only kick in when I am up walking. I am thinking it might be the stretching, but its lasted all morning and its pretty constant. Do you think it is normal or should I call my doc? This is my first pregnancy and don't know if this is just something that happens... since it doesn't hurt or anything. Oh, and he is very active today, moving around all morning.

Everyone is talking about the fact that Shawn Hornbeck, who was kidnapped and held captive for several years, seemingly could have escaped but did not.

Should we teach our children to escape in a situation where they think they have an opportunity to escape, or should we teach them to cooperate?

Of course, we would like to be able to see the situation and make the decision ourselves, as parents, whether an escape opportunity is safe or not. But we can't do that. So what should we tell our kids to help them make this decision on their own?

I have been naseaus for over a week now and I've been throwing up alot. My breasts are sore. I took a test about 3 days ago and it was negative. My period was due yesterday, but all I got was very very light pink and now cramping or anything. Now today the blood is gone. Does this sound like its my period and it just isn't normal or does it sound like implantation bleeding. I have a doctors appointment today for the throwing up, but I was hoping to get some other opinoins before I see the doctor. Please answer.
