I woke up this morning with really light cramping really low. It feels like period cramps but not nearly as bad and they only kick in when I am up walking. I am thinking it might be the stretching, but its lasted all morning and its pretty constant. Do you think it is normal or should I call my doc? This is my first pregnancy and don't know if this is just something that happens... since it doesn't hurt or anything. Oh, and he is very active today, moving around all morning.

I had that when I was pregnant and was told it was just stretching but I would still call your doc. Better safe than sorry.

I'm 21 weeks too and it happens to me most mornings. I just put it down to my cervix stretching its not followed with bleeding or leaking fluid and i just had a scan 2 days ago and the baby is fine. I would not worry about it. Its common as your cervix will always be growing till your baby is ready to arrive. Hope this puts your mind at ease. Good luck.

Hey! I don't think you have anything to worry about. I am 22 weeks & this is my first & have been experiencing the same thing. My doc said it was normal. As long as its not severe or accompanied by bleeding...you should be just fine!! Its just another ache or pain that goes with the territory I guess! ha ha
Good Luck:)

Although your body is stretching I would call the midwife, just to be on the safe side. Braxton Hiks kick in at the end, so it would not be that. As babe is moving all sounds fine - but I would err on side of caution, especially as it is the weekend...(Mother or 2),
