I have applied to 2 different angencies to be an egg donor. I am currently going through the screening process at one and will start today with the other. The one I have already started with, I had a face to face interview, exam and so on. The one today is already giving me my psych. evaluation... over the phone! I haven't met with anyone face to face, haven't been examined by them or anything. Only filled out the questionare and sent photos. Is that normal? Shouldn't the clinics want to screen the potential donors before placing them in thier registry? Is my safety being compromised if I am placed with a match from the second one? What if physically, I'm not a good canidate for ED? Seems like they should make sure before they get a couples hopes up. Any thoughts on this? I want to help a couple in need, but don't feel good about lining the pockets of a big business that seems more about greed than helping people.

Forget the first answer, that's ignorance. Clinics accept a lot of women with a whole myriad of physical attributes, intelligence levels and body types. A lot of couples who cannot conceive try to match the donor to the potential mommy, whether she be tall and slim, short and stout or blonde or redheaded.

I would be leary of a clinic that does not want to physically examine you, however. You do need to fit certain criteria physically (this does not mean you have to have the body of a supermodel and the brain of a NASA scientist) so that your health can be assured.

I am so glad there are people like yourself going into egg donation. There are a lot of couples out there who would otherwise have no option of having children. Best of luck in your quest to find an appropriate clinic.

i'm confident you may, yet might want to you somewhat want to? that is not an problem-free procedure in any respect. they could't in basic terms retrieve your eggs. you should take hormone images for various months to multiply your eggs. and those images make you income a mess of weight. and then they retrieve the eggs which could no longer also be good eggs.

Judging by your pic, you have brown hair and brown eyes. Not a good sign.

Are you 5'8"+, slim, athletic, with a 1500+ SAT score? No? Then my impression is, you probably wouldn't be entertained as egg donor by most legit agencies.
