Cant get clear the main reason of your question. The central point is that she got pregnant; that she runaway; or that her boyfriend is hispanic? I think that the most import thing is that she's pregnant. Then, that she runaway. And up to me, if hers boyfriend is hispanic or anglo saxon, white or black, jew or christian, etc., wouldn't bother me at all, as long as he is a good person. She is to young to have a baby. But abortion has lots of cons. To her mind, her health, and mainly to her son. Would you had wrote this question if your mother aborted you? Can you carry on your conscience you killed your own son?
The other bothering side of your question is that she runaway, Are you sure you gave her the right education, examples. and love she needed?
I don't think she is scared about her mother might take her away. She already did it by herself. And by the way, she wasn't rose from a cabbage. Her mother got pregnant from her. If her mother is not stout, obstinate, stub born, hard-headed or sick with a severe mental illness, should love her, be able to talk with her, and help her to find the best solution possible according to circumstances.

I'm not sure I understand the question. But I wonder why it matters if he is hispanic. If he were white would the mother feel better about her 16 yr old being pregnant. The mother can take her out of her boyfriends house she still is a minor, until she is 18 in fact.

Not sure where the "hispanic" fits into any importance to this question. A 16 year old is a minor (unless emancipated) and the mother can insist she be returned home. If the bf is over the age of 18 the mother can even press rape charges against him, and use the baby as unrefutable proof.

Why is (almost) everyone freaking out that she said he is HISPANIC. So what, it is just a word!! Everybody has 2 b RACIAL PRO FILLING. Get over it!! If all the Hispanic want to live among us Caucasians better get tougher hides.
And yes if the POLICE get involved then she will be in the system and that is not good. The teenager will not have a leg to stand on till she is 18. I know for a fact in sum state's, when a teenager turns 13 her parents can not force her to have an abortion, it is there decision.
I have a 15 yr old, whom also fancy's the HISPANIC'S. Thankfully she is finally growing out of that faze..............

Yes, at age 16 the parent is still responsible for the juvenile. If you've found yourself to be pregnant, you really need your mother, not only now, but for years to come. You can inform her and you two work it out, or the police can pick you up and put you in detention. That's not a great place to have a child. In fact, they may take the child from you. Go back home. You can still date your boyfriend if he's mature enough to actually want to care for you and the child.

Yes it could happen, I don't know why you would even have to question that. And I really don't understand why you had to throw around Hispanic in there, I think that's really offensive! The mother of the 16 year old can report her for being a runaway and can be taken to "Juvi" for awhile if cops feel it's necessay. And I don't know why everyone is saying the boyfriend will get charged with statutory rape when she didn't even say his age. >.< READ!

One bad decision can alter a life in ways you could never imagine. This is one of those bad decisions. The 16 year old girl needs to go back home, ask for a mother's help in raising the baby and work on good decision making. Can the mother force the girl back home? Depends on the state laws. I feel the girl would be foolish not to go back home.

It would be hard for her mother to do so at her age. In less than a year she could move out on her own anyway. If the young woman and her boyfriend are living as an established family it would be idiotic to mess that up. All we need is another single mom and no daddy in the picture.

It happens a lot where I live. Legally they can't make her have an abortion or anything like that, but if her parents want to take her back home with them they can do that depending on the state. I know in MO you have to be 17 to move out. And "bored" there is nothing wrong with Hispanics. My husband and daughter are Mexican. Grow up.

They can't take your baby away - don't listen to these idiots. You have all the parental rights just as someone else who is over 18.

As far as the boyfriend goes, he may or may not be charged with statuatory rape depending on the state you live in. Your parents may not even want to charge him anyway. What state are you? I'll find out for you.
