I put my baby on baby food at 4 months. She was a hungry baby and the midwife told me to try her with the food. I'm glad i took her advice. I did find this part the most hardest as you get people saying " oh don't give her that try this " Or " I didn't do that with my baby "
The end of the day your her mummy! I found it hard to cook little meals i couldn't keep up with what people where telling me to do. What i did in the end was to give her baby food. I was worried what i was doing wrong in the first place but she is a very healthy little toddler now!

Carry on with mashing and freezing foods - try freezing them in an icecube tray, then popping them into a freezer bag. You can play at chef every meal time with no bother, I think its a great idea. Try 3 cubes of butternut squash with 2 cubes of pear, its my 6 1/2 month old daughters favourite! Sweet potato and spinach is also very popular in our house.

my baby is 5 months, i'll list things he has for breakfast and lunch.
breakfast: baby porridge, baby rice with stewed apple/pear/peach
rusk with formula milk mashed, plain mashed fruit, banana & milk
lunch/dinner: yam sweet potato, carrot & pea puree, broccoli/cauli mashed with yam, yam & leek, potato & sweet red pepper puree. sometimes they need thinning with baby milk or water from veggies.
good luck and hope baby finds a favourite!

American Academy of Pediatrics says: No food yet. Just breast milk or formula for the first 6 months! Your pediatrician will tell you the same thing. No food yet.
