Pregnancy & Parenting - 15 January 2007

My 9 month old baby girl wakes two times a night generly at 2 and then again at 4 I have tried controled comforting and all that has done is make me out to be the bad parent to the rest of the house hold, and my daughter just crys louder and longer. Can anyone give me some ideas on what worked for them. she is still in the same room as me but in her on cot she goes to sleep with out a fight. I feed her to get her back to sleep.

I was scheduled for a root canal but now I can't have it so I was just going to have the dentist pull the molar. Will they be able to take care of that.? Is it safe to have novacain when pregnant.?

I have been having a lot&bad lower back pains for about 3days?Does this mean anything, but I dont believe I have lost my mucus plug yet&I have bad cramps in my belly&cervix!I cant tell if they are contractions are not, b/c this is my 1st pregnancy,but sometimes they do hurt!!Not really sure what is going on, but I do have a doctor's appointment tomorrow!!

It sounds like it is two babies crying or an echo. It is hard to describe.The doctor said that she does it like a she throwing her voice does but that doesn't sound right. It sorta vibrates. We just know its different. Everything else is normal. We just don't know if something we should worry about. We like just to know how she is doing it or if something wrong. She has cried like that since she was born.

I got to see the baby today found out that im 6 weeks, baby looks like a small dot lol. Do you prefer a male or female doctor? My doctor set me up for a payment plan, for everythi he is going to do, and the delivery and an ultra sound each visit is going to run us just about 2500.00 thats with out the hospital. Is this a good price or about average...or even high? Thanks

I am exclusivly breastfeeding and someone gave me 5 cans of formula as a baby gift! Although I love the thought, it's quite useless to me.

Are there any stores that will take it back or not? I think I rememebr a friend saying they wouldn't but this was like 7 years ago--so maybe I am rememebring wrong.

I just wanted to know is it possible to fall pregnant while u have your periods, it gets confusing cos some people say yes and some people say no...because until recently on my vacation me n my boyfriend we couldnt wait any longer and decided to go for it [have sex] and this was on the first day of my period and we didnt use a condom this happened twice and he came inside...so what are the chances of falling pregnant..and also since the commencement of the relationship we've never used a condom so he uses the pull out method..

My 3 1/2 year old daughter has been on Glycolax for about 2 years for constipation. She is finally potty trained and has been having regular poops (every day or every other day) for nearly 3 months. Finally things seem to be working properly and I'd like to wean her off of the Glycolax. However, I've heard stories that it can be hard to get off of...painful.

I'd love to hear how other people have gotten their young children to come off of it without going back to withholding.

ok i just found out im pregnant now im either 4 weeks or 7 week one of the too docotor is not sure. but iam already showing is that normal could it be multipes. its my first pregnacy and iam 5ft tall weighing 129 before i got prengnant now 139 gained 10lbs.

I only caught the last few minutes of this on a TV documentary about 2 weeks ago. Can't remember the channel. She gets around with her arms. I'm almost sure they said she only had an upper torso and that's what it looked like to me. Her mother recently died and left her to care for the little boy.

I've done everything I could, I gave her mylecon drops, I helped her release gas by putting her legs to her chest. I tried holding her and rubbing her stomach. I've given her Tylenol. I basically am just listening to her cry in the other room because I just don't know what to do. should I just let her cry til she falls asleep. The other night this happened and we let her stay up she was up for 2 hours and still didn't go down easy. BTW, she doesn't cry when I hold her, but only if I hold her standing up and she is upright. Is she just trying to get me to hold her or does she really have gas?
