I have been feeling the same with the lower back and cervix pain. I've been told it's braxton hicks contractions. some people told me they didn't hurt when they had them and then other told me that theirs did hurt, so I guess it depends on the woman. the pain we feel in our lower back is from the baby getting itself positioned for labor, and there is pressure because maybe she is facing your back and her head is resting on your tail bone. but more than likely, it's just bh and your really close to labor like me.
congrats and good luck!!

If you are dialating above a 3 and your cervix is thin, you better get to labor and delivery. They say go asap when contractions are 5-7 min apart for atleast 30 min to 1 hour, and if they are very very painful and u can't walk you really should go. Are the constantly at the same pain level? You don't want to have a home birth!

Can you time the contractions? With my first child I keep getting sick and I then realized that I was getting sick every five mins and I went to the hospital and I ended up that I was in labor. If they start hurting to bad I would go to the hospital just in case. If you are not in labor all they will do is send you home

if they feel like really bad period cramps and they come and go, those are true contractions. if they get to where you are having them every 5 minutes, go to the hospital. actually, you might want to call the hospital right now and ask them if they want you to come in. your back hurting is a sign of labor.

If they get closer together and stronger they are probably contractions. To be safe you should go to the ER to get checked out. Sounds like you can be beginning labor.
