I was scheduled for a root canal but now I can't have it so I was just going to have the dentist pull the molar. Will they be able to take care of that.? Is it safe to have novacain when pregnant.?

I had a full upper denture done my last pregnancy. I had my OB and my dentist speak to each other as I had to have all of my uppers pulled and things went great. I was in the middle of my preg at the time. I did not get to be knocked out (too dangerous for the baby) but I had LOTS of novocaine with my OB's blessing. Talk to your OB or better yet get them in touch with each other like I did. And good luck...toothaches are MISERABLE (as if being preg can't be miserable enough sometimes LOL)

I was less then 2 weeks away from having my son C-section when I had gotten a terrible toothache, went to the dentist and he sent me to an oral surgeon and he numbers my gum and pulled my tooth, little pain, but man after that no more tooth pain. THANK GOODNESS!!

I had a toothache when I was pregnant and my doctor gave me loratab to kill the pain and I ended up passing out because of the meds, I think after your 6 month of pregnanice that they wont work on your mouth but tell you to come back after you have the baby.
