Fraternal twins run on womans side of the family. Identical twins are random and not hereditary.

Its still possible. But it moreso comes from the womans side of the family I believe. So you being a twin doesnt usually make it a higher percentage. Also, the older a woman is the more chances of twins too as many eggs sometimes disperse at the same time. Google the question and see what you get.
Good luck, twins are more fun!

are you a fraternal twin or identical?

If you are a fraternal twin, then your wife likely does not carry the genes that your mom passed down. Dropping more than one egg comes from the mother's side of the family.

If you are identical then your wife has the same chance as anyone else. That doesn't appear to run in familys.

Yes... though twins normally skip a generation. So its more likely that your kids will have twins. For example my nan is a twin, she had 4 children one of which ended up having a set of twins.

Possible. It's only identical twins than run in families. There are no twins in my history but your cahnces increase 3rd pregnancy onwards and I had twins in my third pregnancy. A girl and boy. They tend to say the man influences the sex of the child and the woman influences a multiple birth. So if you were one of 5 brothers you are more likely to have sons and if your wife had sets of twins in her family then you are more likely to have multiple births. But there are always exceptions to the rule. You just have to go for it and see what happens. Good luck- and twins aren't double trouble just time and a half!

I think identical twins tend to be from the father and non identical twins due to the mother. If you are an identical twin there is a good chance of it.

Anybody can have twins, I am a twin and they don't run on either side of my family. I think if it does run in a family though, it tends to skip a generation, so it would be more likely that your children have twins and not you.

yes it`s possible but its the same chance that a couple where neither are twins have. .But if the mother is a twin or her mother is theres a slightly higher chance and also with a 4th pregnancy or 5,6 or what ever the chance of twins goes up too My sister in law told me she`s a midwife .
