My baby got white pimples yesterday on his face he is 6 weeks old today they have turned red and blotchy. My mom says they are normal however I am taking him in the morning to the doctors to have a look. just wondered if my mom is right. I breastfeed for the first four weeks and I supplemented with formula since birth but for the past 2 weeks he has had formula only. I use only sunlight sensitive on his and my clothes. and I bath him in johnsons baby shampoo and body washes. Thanks for all your responses.

Since getting pregnant i havent had one craving. People keep asking me what i crave and i have to say nothing.

I used to crave everything from popcorn to twisties dipped in chocolate custard!!! But now theres nothing...

Has anyone seen this? Heard of it?

I have a son who I am home with Monday through Friday and I work a full day on Saturdays. He either stays with my husband when he has the Saturday off or with my parents. I will soon be taking a class on Friday afternoons and am concerned about the added time away. It will be 4 hours on Friday and 9 on Saturday. I only work because I am trying to help out my employer on the weekends (and to get out of the house once a week with adults), we don't really need the extra money. It's difficult to be away from my son, especially because he is starting to go through seperation anxiety and sometimes cries when I leave. Do you think it would be best to quit my job and stay home? Do you think being away for a couple days a week causes him psychologcal stress?

Forgive me for this question- but I never went into labor with my first born- I was at 42 weeks and I was induced and never experienced any of these things.
So I am 36 weeks right now with this pregnancy- and about a week and a half ago I could def. tell baby had dropped. The pressure down there is awful! Anyways my question though- I can't remember if my OB told me to count the "menstraul pain" cramping as contractions- or not too. I have an appt in the morning- so will ask. I remember with first when i was induced having these cramping feelings at first- Are they just braxton hicks? I'm only getting them once or twice every hour (the menstraul cramping pains) but they are pretty strong and I can def feel them in my back (my first pregnancy was ALL back labor) and i can def tell my uterus is getting tighter. please spare me the "omg go to the ER now" comments- i know to call the OB when i'm having 6 or more contractions in an hour...

Firstly i want to state that i'm not looking for a moral lesson or a religious view. I just want honest answers and no flames.

I had protected sex for the first time in the middle of Dec. i should have gotten my period a few days before christmas. Since then i've taken 2 pregnancy tests, both came out negative but still no period. Is it normal to still get a negative result after that long ifyou are pregnant? I am planning on going to the dr with in the next week but i would like some feedback and also what i should expect in going to the dr, but also some symptoms on what an early pregnancy are, i've looked online but everything is really general and could be many pms symptoms.

The possible myth i heard was from a friend, she said sometimes after your first time having sex you are late. Has anyone else heard this/ was this true for you?

I'm pregnant and my baby is due Feb. 13th. A few days ago my husband and I adopted a couple of cats. They are both fixed and have had all their shots. When I told my mother about the cats, she freaked out, and gave me a lecture on everything from how a cat will steal a baby's breath while it's asleep to how they could give the baby and my 4 year old son leukemia. These sound like old wives tales to me.

Is there anything I SHOULD be legitimately worried about when the baby comes?

is that normal? Its not that they are totally sore it is just that my nipples are sooo sensitive... to the touch. ttc and hoping for the best... I also went to 2 diff sites to help me chart my ovulation and they both told me 2 diff dates. I am a lil confused. the girl does papers.. sometimes goes with friends. They do their homework... I make supper, do dishes and other then that I just relax and watch t.v. I think this is ok. At this age the kids kinda do their own thing. Sometimes we chat or watch a movie or t.v. but basically I watch t.v. all night.. Am I slacking? It's not like young kids where you play games and do kids stuff..

My son is having a lot of trouble keeping on task, completing his assignments and take school seriously. He is a very intelligent, mature child, has no problem getting high marks on tests, but he is stubborn about doing any homework. He conveniently "forgets" to bring his books home, lies about the amount of homework he has to do, when he has large projects like research papers or science projects, he rarely makes mention of them until the night before they're due - putting us into a mad scramble to get the work done. I have spoken to his counselor, his teachers, his prinicpal...talked to him until I was blue in the face over the importance of education and the foundation he is building for his life, but nothing seems to make a difference. I have taken anyway most of his privileges, like TV time and video games but nothing seems to phase him anymore. He thinks school is boring and his grades are really taking a downward turn. Anyone else having this problem?

I have a two year old who will be three in May, she is still not potty trained. I've tried alot of different methods and I was wondering what method has worked for your kids? I have another one on the way, who will be here in just two months, so I'd REALLY like for her to at least get idea of going potty by then. I don't see her getting fully trained in 2 months though..lol. I've tried alot of things, including letting her in the bathroom with me, sitting her down on the potty seat, I think she's has slight idea, but I'm still very clueless how to get her to actually go in the potty. Thanks if anyone can help!

my girlfriend and I are afraid she could be pregnant. Her last period was on the 8th of December, we had intercourse on the suggested day of her ovulation (unknowingly) and Jan 10th rolled around and no period. We took a ept certainty digital pregnancy test and it came out saying "pregnant" the very next day she had what she said felt like a normal period though, she'd never paid too much attention to it in the past to know if it was different. We then took a First Response pegnancy test, one with the lines, and the lines came out saying she wasn't pregnant. I'm 20 and she's 19, she still lives with her parents and fears if they got wind of the ordeal they'd throw her out. My question is, could she still be pregnant? Do I need to take her to see a doctor and risk her parents getting wind of it? Or could the digital of given us a false positive? And the use of the second pregnancy test, on what felt like the first day of a normal period telling us she wasn't, be enough to say she isn't?

About 4-5 days ago, I started bleeding lite at first but got kinda heavy, Mind you I got a (+) test 3 weeks ago. The bleeding was not at all painfull, and has stopped now. I am able to carry kids I have a healthy 4 yr old, but did not expierence this?

I have told the mom on several occasions that the girl won't listen to me. She shrugged it off.

I sent the girl who is 11 to bed. She didn't go. I ddin't send the older boy to bed... he usually listens pretty good, but his sister didn't go to bed and so why should he have to when he is actually allowed to stay up later?

So when the mom got home, the kids were up at after 10:00 on a school night and boy was she mad.. Her eyes looked totallly ticked off... and she yelled at the kis to get their asses in bed. On my way out the door I said 'I sent her to bed and she wouldn't go. I am not going to go throwing punishments around without your say. But if you want to to take away a privelege or something.. I will enforce it, but I cannot make them do something.' She said it is a school night and they need to be in bed. I told her I will enforce anything she says, but I am not going to make up punishments without her say...

Did I do ok? Will this compromise my position babysitting?

I've heard that there's a pressure point on the bottom of the foot that can cause contractions in pregnant woman and that it's good to do to start labor or to keep it progressing. I'm almost ten weeks pregnant and when I get pedicures, they massage my whole foot. I haven't gotten one since I found out, but was planning to go soon. I'm going to ask the doctor when I see him tomorrow but I was wondering if anyone heard of it being a problem or if it was ok to still go ahead with getting them.
