I think that is fine. you can always ask them if they want to do something else after homework and dinner is done, like a boardgame or something, if they say no or are busy, then it's fine that you just watch t.v.. Just keep an eye on them and make sure they are being good and you're all set. what an easy job!

Go to the library and create a book basket... with books appropriate for your age, for 11 year olds and for 14 year olds. Be a good example and read at least a bit while watching them and have the basket full of interesting educational books visible for them.

Your not slacking. Older kids just need someone around in case something happens or they want to talk. At these ages they don't usually want some adult doing stuff with them if it is a babysitter. If they ask you to do something with them then take them up on it, just don't force yourself on them. What you doing is good already.

Take the job. It will be easy money. You really are just there in case they need something. The parents may not be comfortable with leaving them at night. Enjoy the time. Be there for them.

I think that is okay. When I was at that age I would want my sitters to teach me naughty stuff or leave me alone. I would go to bed and be angry if I heard them going through the biscuits in the cupboard though!

you are not slacking. Most kids don't even get a warm supper each night.
I think you are too stressed out about this. Don't worry.

You could play cards, or board games or be more involved. Even watching TV together and talking about the show would be good.

sounds good to me...if by the age of 11 and 14 if you have to do more than that, then they have issues.
