I called my doctor today to inform them I am pregnant and to make my 8 - 12 week U/S appointment. She asked me my first day of my last period, which was December 1. She then informed me that I will be 8 weeks on January 26. How does that work??? I am so confused on how they figured this out. Can someone please explain to me. I have gone and done a pregnancy calculator and it says I would be due until Sept 7. Is that right?

I know you can't eat certain food during pregnancy cause whatever you eat the baby eats.... What about during breast feeding.... is it the same? I am planning to breastfeed right after I give birth but I am looking forward to eating sashimi and other raw fish right after i give birth and I miss my Starbucks and Red Bull??? I am 24 yrs old and have been married twice already.My parents could not stand my first hubby who i met while in college at a club where he was an ultimate fighter.I fell head over feel and eloped with him after 3 months.Problems were numerous to say the least he had never graduated from highschool and he was participating in illegal fights to make ends meet.My parent continued to pay for my college tuition but cut off all ties with me and when i graduated college i was 3 months pregnant.After i gave birth to my daughter he became violent and in a fight with me over money broke my jaw.I divorced him and married my divorce lawyer who i thought i was in love with that marriage lasted only a year an half before i found out he was a womanizer and a con-man.I have a three year old daughter and am living in a one bedroom studio in NY.I lost a lot of money thanks to my ex. husband who stole from me.I want to ask my parents if i can come home but dont know how?

well im a young girl but im 34 weeks pregnant. & on xmas day i was put in the hospital for dehydration, a fever, and up to 8 contractions in 30 minutes. and when i was able to go home the next day the nurse said i was having up to 3 contractions in 30 minutes but the brethane is keeping me from dilating right now. but my reason for this is i go to school nd everything and since we got back from vacation my contractions have been horrible, my upper theighs feel like something is being pulled [it hurts when i walk] but my contractions are starting to hurt. and when i walk a lot it seems to get worse and then i have to sit down in my seat, get up, sit down over n over and the pain is getting to be unbarible cause im also feeling so sore all over & my back is killing me. i go to the doctors here in like 4-5 days to get a checkup thing. what are my chances of being put on bed rest cause someone mentioned to me that they might put me on bedrest & i am curious.[i except emails.]

Dont you think it should be a law on how many kids a mother can have if shes NOT taking care of them?!?!?! This just blows my mind. Theres this girl thats a huge drug user here in my town, she is 35 years old, and just gave birth to a baby boy, who only weighs 5 lbs, she did drugs all through her pregnancy.....She has 8 kids and only has custody of one of them. Isnt this a sad situation. I think our government should make them tie their tubes!!!

I am not sure why my son has diarrhea its watery and yellow (SORRY FOR TMI) he is eating right drinking right no fever he is acting like himself just having poopy alot. Anyone know what the deal is? I did talk to the doc said dont worry about it unless he isn't taking enough fluids. Any adivce would be appreciated... thank you

im 5 months pregnant and i went to the doctors yesterday with a sore throat ..now it has gotten worse like sneezing and stuffy nose..she told me she cant prescribe me antibiotics because there is no infection ..like green phlem or snot ..she said i have to ride it out..is this normal being pregnant or should i worry that it will hurt the baby with me being sick.?

WIC only offers Similac but my daughter only drinks Enfamil. I've given her similac but she doesnt like it. My doctor gave me a prescription to get Enfamil but I dont know if WIC will except it ? Do you think they make exceptions with a Dr note ??

I am a stay at home mom. My husband and I have 3 kids...ages 5, 18 months, and 3 months. I love being with my kids and am thankful for this opportunity, however I feel terribly guilty that my husband works 2 jobs to support us. If I got a job, the daycare would be outrageous, but that's not even really the reason I stay home. I want to raise my children! I have nothing against working moms, but I really want to take them to school, to the park, to gymnastics, and just be a participant in their lives. I wish my husband had more time to spend with them too though, and I'm not sure it's fair??? I've thought of working evenings, but he says he wants time with me too... I don't know. I've pretty much made up my mind that I'm going to continue to stay home with my kids, at least until they're all in school. I just want to know your opinions...

Hi everyone, Im new to this site and was wondering if someone could help me. This might be a really stupid question but I have never been pregnant so plz forgive me. My period was due today and has not come, its regular and every month very painful. Anyway, my body temperature has been really high the past couple of days and I have been sweating profusely, I have also been experiencing a 'strange' feeling in my stomach. Im not sure how to explain it, its like muscle discomfort or for lamens term, its like someones 'squeezing' whenever I get up from my couch or crouch down. I have been off work the last few days with a bad cold so maybe that what this is but my husband and I had unprotected sex on Xmas night, which we never do ( have it unprotected, I mean ) and I dont know, I just wonder. I apologise if this all sounds the ramblings of an inexperienced paranoid person but I dont know what to compare it with. I have yet to buy a test. What do you think?
