Pregnancy & Parenting - 4 January 2007

I went to the doctor yesterday. I am 38 weeks, 3 days, and after much waiting and hoping, she is inducing my labor on Tuesday!!

I am so happy, I had to tell everyone!! I have everything ready to go, and the car seat is in the car already, and my bags are packed. Sitter's arranged for my 4 year old, baby clothes are clean and put away, and diapers are stacked to the ceiling. I am so ready for this!!

But thank you anyway for putting up with my announcement!!

I have had tendinitis for over a year now. I am a full time housekeeper (heavy cleaning) I have been for 7 years. I just found out Jan.2nd that I am pregnant. This is my first pregnancy. I am 26 and for the past month I have had problems with my shoulder and now my neck. I went to the doctor on the 2nd because of my shoulder and neck. The neck thing is gone now. but shoulder still hurts when used. I have a week off and I am going to the OB-GYN today and I am so scared that I have an ectopic prenancy. I have read the symptoms and the only one I have is shoulder but that could be the tendinitis. The part that scares me is that when he told me and then started checking my shoulder I fainted. Now I aslo pass out when my blood is taken. Which is a greater chance? Ectopic pregnancy or just pregnant with tendintits?

He thinks I am making an excuse. I'm 13 weeks pregnant and get very emotional. Not just crying. I get very angry for no reason and then really irritated. Irritation at this point is my worst enemy. He thinks I am making an "excuse" for this irritation...even though I was NO WHERE NEAR this bad before pregnancy. Crying really wasn't an issue after I'd say about 9 weeks preggo. He says I can help it and need to stop getting so upset. It gets me so sad, because I thought out of all people, he's be more understanding. Apparentely not. How can I explain this to him in a different way to help him understand it IS because of the pregnancy and my hormones...this is so frustrating!

I am 23 years old and my soon to be husband is 33 years old. He always tells me about his past life about his failure of having children. But some of that time he was in jail for a total of 10 years maybe (may be to much info, but helpful). He gave me the example of having sex with his ex girlfriends and random chicks everyday. He claims he's a very sexual person and that he would have sex with his girlfriend everyday. I told him it could have been them not ovulating yet,because every woman has a different cycle if one at all. This man who i love really wants a child by me, he of course doesn't have one at all. So recently, we had sex Dec. 26-29 so many times, maybe in all 15- 20 times. But the catch is that my period should come on around the 3rd or 6th. Could i be pregnant. Some symptoms I have are nausea, mood swings, lonely, and not hungry that much. But i just started doing this sunday on Dec.30-31. Is this even possible to have symptoms like this so early in the first 1- 2 weeks.

I bought a baby monitor off of ebay yesterday for $14 that retails at $75. My husband had a fit because he wants a video baby monitor...infact..the one he wants is just shy of $200....Don't you think this is too much for a baby monitor? Most people will only use it once..maybe twice..

My son is 10 1/2 months old and I need to get him weaned from breast to cup/bottle. It's just a personal preference for me here and I feel that it is time. (Hopefully by a year old) My first weaned himself at 6 months but my second is not wanting this AT ALL. I have tried several different bottles/ cups and he WILL drink out of them, but screams and reaches and practically attacks me for nursing. He is already walking and will walk up to me and just scream! He will reach and tug on my clothes until he is nursed. I am really at a loss for what to do. I have tried absolutely everything I know to do. I am still producing milk but it can't be that much. I am not even having to wear nursing pads anymore. He goes and stays with my mom sometimes and he will be fine for her all day but as soon as I walk in the door he starts screaming. He will keep screaming until I feed? I just feel guilty because I feel like he doesn't understand why I won't feed him. Is he old enough now? Should I just let him scream through it? It's really hard because I want to hold and comfort him but the minute I pick him up .. thats what he goes for. My midwife suggested a small amount of pepper or hot sauce on the breasts.. I tried this but he acted like it wasn't even there. He didn't even make a face or flinch .. just kept on nursing! Suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

I didn't notice that the nurse marked that the baby was in breech position until I watched the VHS tape last night. They were unable to determine the baby's sex because it's legs were closed. I have to go back in two weeks.

Does this mean that I'll have a C-section? Will baby be breech around Delivery time.

Please Help!!. I want a natural birth. What do I need to do to change this and make the baby move more???

I have recently gone to the doctor and gotten a blood pregnancy test done. I missed my period a week ago and I feel like there is a good chance that I could be pregnant. I'm starting to have some symptoms like breast changes & a little bit of nausea. I'm also having another symptom which I heard is common although it is not considered one of the top symptoms. I'm having cramps and I read that it is because my uterus is starting to expand. Is that true? I'm supposed to be getting my results today or tomorrow. What do you think it will be?

I feel like I'm starting bad habits with my 18 month old...it seems like I'm always giving in to her little tantrums. I don't want to see her sad and crying...and I'm pretty sure she's taking advantage of me now. I don't want to spank or yell...that's not me...I just need to figure out how to be firm with her.

I had 2 periods...4 days apart from each other and well i feel different....i dont want to eat anything because it makes me feel like getting sick and everything i eat goes straight through me...and then even when i smoke..it's not satisfying...i dont even want to smoke i just feel sick and my stomach has this weird feeling in it almost like i am constantly bloating...
