Hi.. My baby is almost 4 months now.
1. His poop is green instead of mustard yellow and smells different than usual.
2. Everytime he laughs, he gets hiccups. Is that normal?

He is both breast fed and formula fed. I feed him breast milk in the morning and forumla through out the day.

I just went through the same thing w/green poop. Sometimes, as babies insides mature, they shed the inner lining of their intestines and it can come out green. That's what I read anyways. I suspected my baby had too much iron. I switched her to low iron and her bowel movements have been totally normal since. No crying, no stomach cramping anymore. She is a much healthier happy baby than she was from switching formulas. As far as the hiccups go, normal. My baby gets the hiccups almost everytime she eats. She had them everyday in the womb too.

LOL that's cute! Is he breast fed? If he is, green poop is totally normal. It wouldn't hurt to call his doctor, tho, if you're worried about it. As far as the laughing and getting hiccups, I'm sure there is nothing to worry about. Mine seems to get hiccups each time she BREATHES!

Well the poop could be from a change in diet. Umm.. the hiccups..welll my girls hiccuped all the time, but after he laugh, huh. Welll, all I can say is that no baby is "normal" they all have differnet normals. If hiccuping after he laughs is normal for him I wouldn't worry about it. I think it is kinda cute.

is he breast fed? sometimes breastfed babies poop is different as he eats what you eat.

as for the hiccups - he is probably just inhaling too much air - getting too excited

If your concerned about the poop see your GP / H.V - there really isnt enough info in your question to have a clue what might be the cause

Breastfed or formula fed? If formula, which one?
The hiccups are normal.
