This is extremely common, and a cross we bear for having had children. You can use an over the counter ointment - your pharmacist can recommend one, or if it's serious, or if you are bleeding from there, go see a doctor. Make sure you don't get constipated; eat lots of whole grains, fruits and veggies so you don't have to "strain".

Yes .. And unfortunately I had ripped during birth and had stitches down there also. I felt like I was ripping stitches out everytime I went. I did not go for the first two weeks I couldn't. I was in tears not just ont the toilet but also off and have to use suppositories. I took the Phillips soft gels (they soften stool) and still do because I am breastfeeding and cannot take actual laxatives. If you are not breastfeeding talk to your doctor about it. My OB said once I finished she would subscribe me a strong laxative for a few weeks. This would get me going and not straining for a while so that the hemorrhoids could get smaller. It's hard but REALLY try not to strain because this will make it worse. Also a nice warm bath or sitz bath will help!

Yup. I did. That was a long time ago. Mostly I haven't had alot of trouble with it. When they do flare up, over the counter medications, like creams and suppositories help me.
Someone called the surgery "minor" to repair these. I haven't had to have this surgery, but have seen a couple people who did. May be minor, but they've told me it was painful.
Mostly, people manage these okay.

This is very common in white ( Caucasian ) women giving birth. Nothing extraordinary here. Minor surgery will take care of it. Be sure to mention it to your treating doctor ( generalist / gynecologist ) before giving birth a next time, if you plan to do so.

Yes, thats all perfectly normal and nothing you can do will make them entirely disappear but you can use over the counter medicines like preparation h to reduce some of the swelling and overall discomfort. Good Luck

I recently read an article on a woman who had to wear diapers after giving birth!!! You can damage the whole area it seems. I'm terrified as I will have to do it in about 8 months!!!

I even have had 3 drug unfastened births. 2 have been at homestead. i'm pending with my fourth. i'd in no way say in no way, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that it incredibly is very no longer likely i'd ever have an epidural. My first infant injury previous concept. i grew to become into stunned on the discomfort. He grew to become right into a 10 hour transport. 5 hours grew to become into excruciating. With my 2d, she grew to become into 2.5 hours at homestead and it grew to become into great. It grew to become into incredibly no longer that painful. The third grew to become into born in a million hour. It grew to become into painful, yet no longer that giant of a deal. She grew to become into 9 lbs 4 oz.. There are poor issues that would take place with an epidural, to the infant and the mother. i'm happy its an determination, yet one i choose to no longer exercising. in case you place your suggestions to it, you might have a drug unfastened start. you will desire to be committed regardless of the undeniable fact that. in case you adjust your suggestions, don't experience you have failed. when I had my first and purely medical institution start, ninety 5% of ladies human beings had epidurals and there grew to become right into a 25% csection fee.
