Pregnancy & Parenting - 4 January 2007

I am 22 weeks pregnant with my first and for about a week I have been staining my blouses with breast milk or rather colostrum. It became embarassing and I have started wearing protective pads. My doc says it's ok, but my mom says that this happend to her too and in effect she didn't have breast milk after she delivered. Has this happen to anyone else?

I have a 6 yr old boy and 8 yr old girl, my boyfriend has a 6 yr old boy as well. He really wants a little girl, I know I can't guarntee that and I really want a 3rd baby. I am 28 and he is 30, I feel like if I wait I will be too old and there will be a big age gap between the older kids and the baby. We've been together for a year and I just quit getting my depo shot. I'm kind of scared, I know he would be a great father, he already is and we both have great jobs, I would like to hear from anyone with a similar experience, thanks!!

I am 19.5 weeks pregnant and yesterday I went for my ultrasound to be told that I am having a baby boy! Well, before I had not felt any movements, but it was like as soon as the ultrasound was over... BOOM! He is moving like crazy! Now, I feel him several times a day and they are obvious kicks. He is breech by the way. Does anyone know why I'm suddenly feeling kicks? Did the ultrasound jumpstart something? haha... Did anyone else experience this?
Also, here is something funny... while watching the ultrasound machine, we wacthing him literally punching at my stomach. lol....

On New Years day my girlfriend and I had sex for the first time together. We did use a condom that night, and we only had sex for about 5 minutes, and the condom was clean, no ejeculate or pre ejeculates. However, the stupid thing we did was when we woke in the morning, we decided to have sex again, using the same condom. We did not check for holes in it or anything to that sort. This time having sex, we went longer and I did pre ejeculate. It has only been 3 days since then and she has been having cramps whch she usually does not get. We've talked to planned parenthood and they have said the cramps may be nervousness. I noticed a few other pregnancy signs, but my questions are: 1. Would she notice pregnancy signs only 3 days after having sex? 2. Is the risk of pregnancy high for using the same condom twice only for pre ejeculate. (I know that pre ejeculate contains sperm...but I'm scared). 3. If she gets her period, is it safe to say she's most likely not pregnant? Thank you!

My daughter just turned 15 months old. About 2 months ago, I bought her a potty chair so she could sit on it while I'm using the bathroom. I figured it's never too early for her to watch and try to learn. I also heard from many people that some kids fear the potty. I bought it so she could get used to it before I was ready to potty train her.
A week ago, she was sitting in the floor looking like she was about to poop and I asked if she needed to go potty and she said, "uh huh." I set her on the potty and within 10 minutes, she pooped. The following day, she peed. Two days after that, she pooped again. (I got side-tracked during New Year's and didn't ask for about 3 days.) Two days ago she went poop, last night she went pee and this morning she went pee. Each time it gets quicker and quicker. This morning she peed within 2 minutes of setting her on the potty.
My question is, is this too soon to assume she's potty-training? I wasn't trying to rush her into anything and....

I have been on the pill for years now and will be getting married in May. Once we are back from our honeymoon, I plan on going off the pill and we'll start trying to conceive. A while ago my gyno. said I shoudl start taking pre-natal vitamins a few months before we start tring to have a baby. My question is, can I stay on the pill and take pre-natal vitamins at the same time?

all my perants do is argue all the time. they never stop and they be fighting. my dad is a drunk,my mom isnt. and im tired of hereing all of it.my dad be telling me he wish ill die tomorrow,one time he beat me up.i dont know what to do no more. im only 15. im stressed out from hereing my mom and dad fight and argue. all the time and then when they get through its all my fault and i dont even how to have been at home when they started arguing. i dont know what to do.my mom and dad will start arguring and its afecting me a whole lot and i try to tell them but they wont listin. i even been tryna get pregnant so i can show my child the love and attention that i dont get.and now it has just got to the point where i just wont to just go away and never come back. i dont know what to do. any advce on how i make my life better??????

Thanks to everyone who has posted their comments in relation to me trying to stop breastfeeding my 15 months old son :)

I do try to feed him well with the solid food and he drinks a little bit of cow's milk during the day. I think it will suit me more if I cut on breastfeeding gradually. Hopefully, he will drink cow's milk during the night instead of mine... Thank you!

Hi everyone. I accidentally posted this question in the "newborn section", but I think the "pregnancy" section is more appropriate. Sorry to those who are reading this question twice. I myself hate duplicate questions.

Anyway, I'm not freaking out or anything, just want some general information from those who are experienced...

I'm 35 weeks along and my baby dropped about a week ago. I'm wondering how long after your baby drop did you go into labor? I was watching this Lamaze DVD that I purchased and the educator had mentioned that if the baby "drops" or engages, the average mom will go into labor approximately 4 weeks later. Now, my husband is a little freaked out that the baby will be coming a little earlier than the due date. This is our first child and we're very excited! :)

my friend is surrently 39 weeks pregnant and due any day now. she smokes pot all the time and obviously isnt going to stop before the baby gets here. she told me that her doc hasnt drug tested her on any of her dr visits. i was wondering what are the odds of her and the baby being tested when the baby is born? she figures since they havent tested her yet, that they are not going to?

i am so worried for her.

ok here is the deal
i always start my period on time on the 27th of every month
in april 2006 i bled on the 27th through the 1st then the next month which was may i had some spotting which isnt usual and then i had my period a little late i had it on the 30th and i am now 7 months pregnant so my question is can you get a bleed while being pregnat
