It happened to me with my first also and I too had to wear breast pads throughout. I still had plenty of milk though, never a problem with that! You should have plenty for your baby especially if you eat right and drink lots of fluids!

My breasts were leaking at 4 months of pregnancy. I had lots of breast milk, so much that I had to wear nursing pads for several months after I gave birth (I breast fed for 8 months). I even had to wear my bra to bed, so I could wear the nursing pads, or I would have soaked the bed. Check with your doctor, but I am pretty sure there is no connection between leaking in pregnancy and the amount of milk you have after delivering.

How funny, I am also 22 weeks pregnant and started leaking colostrum last week. It's perfectly fine, I leaked with my other two children as well and still had plenty to feed them when they were born, Good Luck to you and Congrats!

It happened to me... maybe not quite that early, but way before baby came. It only lasted a couple weeks, then I saw nothing until after the baby came. I highly recommend buying washable breast pads... they are way cheaper, and just as effective.

it is normal. It will not effect how much colostrum you will have for the baby... this could start at 16 weeks at the earliest

I had leakage around that time in my pregnancy but it stop. Just because you are leaking now does not mean you won't have any after pregnancy. As long as your baby latches and tries to feed you will make milk.

Yes, I noticed this happening way before my due date, by months, but I sucessfully was able to breastfeed my daughter for 8 months, so your mom must have had other problems that prevented breastfeeding
