I love the name Cameron...and not so much Charlotte...
who got to choose the second name?
if it was you then maybe you should let your husband have a say on the first name, since you promised already
when the little girl grows older she can choose what she wants to be called

I always liked Cameron for a boy but not for a girl. If you are not crazy about Charlotte try to come up with other pretty but similar names. Cheryl comes to mind and it isn't used very often anymore.

i think that u should of never promised you husband to let him choose the girls name. next time compromise so that u r not stuck wiht a name u dislike.
i think cameron is pretty, i am not crazy about charlotte either. it reminds of the charlotte's web.

I like either, but I'm the one leaning toward old fashion names myself. So I'd choose Charlotte. You could call her Charlie for short, I like the idea of little girls with some boys names.

i like camron what if you guys compromized would that work cause remember you want a name to be cute as a baby and professional when it gets older but here is a little secret if you want your baby to have a good job when it gets older you should try shorter names cause my husbands boss when my husband was being interviewd for a job he was up against a harvard grad who had done the type of work for 20 years and his name was stephen while my husband name is chris who had no experiece in the field they chose my husbnad cause he had a shorter name so in otherwords shorter the name more the trust

My standard answer is to put yourself into a frame of mind to think like your child at various ages. Baby names can be cute, but who wants their first grade teacher to yell at you if your name is Myrtle? Who wants to wear a name tag that says Herbert? Who want to marry a guy named Evalyn? The point is you want to match the name to a timeless sound. Don't go for cute....your kid will pay later for that.
