Hi everyone, Im new to this site and was wondering if someone could help me. This might be a really stupid question but I have never been pregnant so plz forgive me. My period was due today and has not come, its regular and every month very painful. Anyway, my body temperature has been really high the past couple of days and I have been sweating profusely, I have also been experiencing a 'strange' feeling in my stomach. Im not sure how to explain it, its like muscle discomfort or for lamens term, its like someones 'squeezing' whenever I get up from my couch or crouch down. I have been off work the last few days with a bad cold so maybe that what this is but my husband and I had unprotected sex on Xmas night, which we never do ( have it unprotected, I mean ) and I dont know, I just wonder. I apologise if this all sounds the ramblings of an inexperienced paranoid person but I dont know what to compare it with. I have yet to buy a test. What do you think?

I think you should go buy a test! And remember to use the first urine in the morning, it shows it best... Good luck!

don't apologize for asking a perfectly normal question, anyway when i was pegnant i didn't even know i was until my third month, every woman is different but i experienced terrible breast pain and i mean terrible, my sense of smell was so intense, and also felt a 'strange feeling in my stomach almost like butterflies, I was in denial of course, asked every friend I had "do you think i am pregnant? how did you feel?" the only answer i got was to take a test if it is positive immediately call your doctor to set up your first appointment, with me i took 6 test all came back positive within seconds also "you'll just know you are" and sounds very strange so did my husband!! good luck!

It could be the cold or stress. Give it a day or two and if nothing happens, go get a test. Sounds like you might have been ovulating around Xmas if you were due today which increases your chances.

Buy the test! You can test the first day of your supposed period. I was HOT when I got pregnant the first time. My husband had joked about it when we were cuddling one night... I took the test the next day and taa daa preggo! the tummy thing might just be in your head though, you wont feel any different there for another couple weeks! good luck :)

Sounds like you very well could be pregnant.Around the time I found out i was pregnant, I got sick with a cold. I also had strange feeling in my belly like a tight feeling, almost like an impending period. GO and buy a test!

Well, that is kindof late for conception, athlthough not impossible. You usually ovulate around day 14. Your best chance for pregnancy would have be about Dec. 21. Again it's not impossible that you could be pregnant, you could have ovulated late. I would try a pregnancy test.

Relax sweetie - it is too soon to start worrying if you are pregnant or not. There is no way to tell until 5 days before your next cycle. You may be off now due to the holiday stress/activity and your body is just trying to reacclimate itself.

you are most likely not pregnant and it is too soon to test yet anyway. Take care of yourself as if you are pregnant, test in a week if your period hasn't come, and try to relax. I hope you get the anser you want.

i have never been pregnant (or had sex...but anyways) you should go to your doctor or get a store bought pregnancy test. or look up symptoms on the internet. although i do know a few symptoms:
weird cravings
sensitive breasts (do you have these too?)
my best to you and i hope it all works out for the best

Honestly, it sounds as if you have a bad cold and or the flu. If you were pregnant, you really wouldn't be experiencing "squeezing" or discomfort.

And, welcome to the boards. Believe you me, there are A LOT of stupid questions here and yours was NOT one of them.

I hope you feel better.
