It doesn't really matter. Almost all of them if "not all of them" are made to detect the pregnancy hormone and are 99.9 % accurate.

The difference in price is usually how easy it is to use. Some more expensive ones will provide a cup to urinate in, while others have a stick and other don't have a cup.... Basically the price difference is based on the "luxury" and not on the performance.

One thing to keep in mind is that no matter of the test, it is possible to have a false negative, but it is not possible to have a false positive.

If the result is negative and the woman is certain that she is pregnant, it could be that her pregnancy hormones are not yet high enough to be detected in urine. The only 100% proof is a blood test.... But trust me, go with the urin test first.

Surprisingly, cheap tests purchased at dollar stores or on the Internet are often more sensitive and reliable than expensive store brands. HPT's are like soda: very cheap to make, and marked up quite a bit for retail.

They can range from a dollar to 20 bucks

The dollar store ones are actually MORE sensitive than some of the more expensive ones! Go to www.peeonastick.com . There's a LOT of information about the tests. I used Fact Plus 9 years ago, and it was accurate. I've also used the $1 tests, and they tend to show a positive a couple of days sooner than the more expensive ones, in my experience.
PLUS, if you're like me and want to take a zillion of them "just to be sure," it can get pretty expensive to use the high dollar ones. : )

The clear blue digital and the first response are really relaible and they both cost about 14 bucks, well here they do. For the first response you get 2 for 14 bucks, and not sure about the clearblue but it's somewhere around there! hope you get the results your looking for and good luck!

I used clear blue and got a positive result right away (not the digital one, just the regular one) with my first born. This time around we cheaped out and bought store brand HPT and i got a negative result the first time, then the next day we bought clear blue and taa daa positive.

EPT I think is the most accurate. It cost roughly around 10 dollars. I used a store bran one and it worked just as well and they run about 6 sumtin. Good luck!
