Pregnancy & Parenting - 29 December 2006

I am currently 37 weeks pregnant, 70% effaced and 1 cm dialated. When I went to the doctor on Thursday, he told me that my mucous plug was gone, and I was so incredibly hyper yesterday. Most of the time, I have been dragging, and yesterday I cleaned, walked laps, all kinds of stuff. So I thought for sure, today something would happen.
Well...I have been having contractions/ cramps every 9 minutes for 3 hours now, and I feel like there's pressure on my cervix, and almost like it's an unpleasant tingling down there.
Am I wrong to feel upset that more isn't happening? How much longer does it normally take?

Long story short: I broke up with my bf. We were friends for an hour. He had a conference on IM with my bff. We cussed eachother out. She got on his side. He hates me. She seems pissed at me. I am mad. I am confused. He is hating me to death!


What do i do? I mean we were ok until my "bff" came in! What shoud I do now? O, and i am 13

My wife is 23 weeks pregnant, and was laying in bed playing with our 9 year old daughter. Our daughter accidently elbowed my wife not real (from what she said) but enough to freak my wife out. Is there reason for concern. I researched it and found minor injuries like this are no cause for concern, but does she need to be SO worried? I am trying to calm her down and get her to realize its OK. Any advice?

Esp. those who only have one child and stay home.
I mean really now, all you do is mooch off your husband and spend all his money. Doing laundry in the real world wouldnt even make one months mortgage. I think stay at home moms are leeches and need to get the butts in a job, instead of livng off someone else paycheck. You stay homes get to drive around in your suvs that your husbands bought you,and go shopping or do some housework, which is way easier than having to go to a REAL job everyday. Does anyone see what I see?

I have a 2 year old daughter and she has this thing where she bites you but she thinks she's playing and as much as I tell her it's bad and try to correct her, nothing seems to be helping the situation. Any suggestions on how to make her stop biting?

I have this friend that, well she used to go out alot and leave her baby with her parents.I mean out to drink and party. The first time she did it her daughter was about 2 mths old. She used to do it nearly every weekend now it is just every once and awhile. What bothers me is not that she goes out and parties but that she leaves her overnight and sometimes goes to diff cities. She is a young parent and always makes the excuse that, her mom is okay with it and she is young and still has her life to live.
How do you feel about that?

Im 19 years old and 5 months pregnant.My baby's father does not want anything to do with my child. Everyone tells me to put him on child support but I dont want to. Does anyone else have this problem? From what I've read about sleeping you aren't supposed to change your baby's diaper in the middle of the night unless they're wet. But by morning she is sometimes soaked. She is still too small for over night diapers. (she's 17/18lbs)

I was wondering how parents choose the colors and styles of underwear for their sons. Would it be safe to say what one son wears the other would wear the same type of underwear? How is it some parents only buy white underwear and others will get colored briefs , bikinis etc? Any personal experiences?

I will be 15 weeks pregnant on Sunday. The first trimester I was so worried that I was at high risk for miscarriage b/c of all the stress I was dealing with. I've calmed down a little bit but I'm still concerened about a miscarriage. I just would LOVE for everything to be okay. What are the chances now? Are they smaller than before? Please explain. I'm not really sure how this test works so this is what I did. I hung a wedding ring from a necklace and held it over my hand. It swung the same way three times and then a different way one more time. Then finally after 4 swings, it went in circles. Does this mean 3 boys and a girl or 3 girls and a boy? I dont have any kids yet but I tried this twice and it did the same thing. I even had someone else hold the necklace for me. I just want to know more about this old wives tale.
