A definite no. Colby is a fad name and will be out of style by the time he's 10. Skyler sounds like a girls name.

Won't age well. The name is very topical, and will remind people of the 90's and 00's in the future. Or to second another opinion, to trendy. It sounds like some kind of space cheese, Colby Skyler. But whatever floats your goat.

I know someone named Colby. I like the name. Skyler is an O.K. middle name. I wouldn't like it as a first name though.

How about Colby Jaxen? Just an idea...

Colby is a wonderful name. But I'm not so pleased with Skyler. Just reminds of the sky and hippy's. Sorry

When he has a brother some day, will his name be "Cheddar"? Sorry, I know 'Colby" is in my baby name book, but try to think about how mean kids can be...........do you really want to give them that kind of ammunition? (who cut the cheese?, oh colby of course!) What about Craig, Caden, Carson (or Carsyn), Clint. They might go ok with Skyler.

I honestly would have to say "no" for that name. Colby makes me think of a chunk of cheese and I'm not much of a Skyler fan...That name sounds like a recipe for teasing at school...he'll learn how to stand up for himself:-)

The syllables and emphasis on the syllables are exactly the same.....doesn't sound great. Choose a Two syllable first name and a one syllable middle name, or vice versa. Colby is ok but he'll get called cheese boy......I don't know about Skyler, kinda sounds like he'll be getting beat up on the playground.

I wouldnt kids will make fun of him. I went to school with a boy named that and they always spit around and on him. Skyler is too prissy. I always liked the name Maverick for a boy. Its tough, not to mention Tom Cruise in Top Gun!

My cousin's name is Colby Gauge, I like Skyler but it really does sound girly. (just being honest) May I make a suggestion? How about Colby Scyther?
