Pregnancy & Parenting - 29 December 2006

I am wondering if I should be getting a pregnancy test in a few weeks. It's not a big deal if my husband and I have another baby (or else we wouldn't be screwin around like this) but I am sitting here wondering if there is even a chance or not....I know there is SOME chance, but how much of a chance is the question. I am thinking not so much, but I don't really remember all that well when ovulation usually occurs in the average woman...

Ok we have a 2 week old infant girl... I am currently breast feeding her, so needless to say she poops like it's going outta style. Her bum looks like she is getting a slight rash is red with 2 bumps so far. My 2 older children could never use Desitin cause it would literally take their skin off so I don't want to try that with her. What can I use that would be gentle enough for her little bottom? Remember she is only 2 weeks old. Thanks!!

The kids I babysit are not hyper or anyhting, but they refuse to listen when I enforce my rules. What do i do? i just started babysitting and i need help!!!

My 2 year old son says no to everything. I know he knows the difference between yes and no. My boyfriend on the other hand begs the differ. He only believes in smacking him on the mouth or cheek for everytime he says "NO", yet he does not follow through with this every time. He also laughs, for example when he comes home from work and hears me yell at our son for telling me NO ( which is like the only word he prefers to say daily ). I have tried everything from spanking to no spanking, to going to the bedroom to cry and not come out until done crying. Now I am out of patience and ready for the bar of soap.
I know he is in the terrible two's stage, and might I add he is a very hyper child. He is easily distracted by anything and I mean anything from a bug to trash on the floor and to dirty clothes. But when we are out in public, he tells me NO everyone looks at me like I am bad. I am usually the only one out in public with our children who are ages: 3, 2, and 3 weeks.
Any advice?

So- our son just turned two- we just moved, a few times, and we let him have it this long because we kept moving, or he was sick, or etc... we let him have it for comfort- but now we want it to stop- tonight is the first night- "binky-free" he is doing fine- only called out once for it. now i think he is sleeping- So we have about 4 of them in the house- so my question is--
Tomorrow when he wants it back- how should we do it? should we throw them out now- and when he asks just say no!
or- tomorrow say something like we gave them to some little babies? or cut the tips off and say they are all "broken" and we have to throw them away?? how to do it so he does not think he did something bad or that were being mean?

ok so i am just wondering if i can call the poliece on a person who doesn't put their three year in a car seat nor even buckles them in and lets them pull on the door handle when a child safey isn't on. this kid is going to fall out of the car! or something just as terrible. i want to know if i do call the poliece can they do anything about it or do they have to catch the parent in the act? I think this is a form of neglect, neglecting the childs safety!

Oh yeah they claim they don't put the 3 year old in the car seat because he screams and throws a fit whenever they do. that is just stupid to me. i think its safe to say they shouldn't have bred in the first place.

last night its hard for me to sleep i really do have cramps on my lower pelvis as if the babys pushing me in my lower down abdomen and wanted to come out already but still i dont have water breaks but i noticed a thick brownish pink discharge when i woke up what do you think about this?

Ive always had irregular cycles (2-3 times a year) and in the back of my mind I've always feared I wouldnt be able to have children of my own. My fear of this is so crippling Ive never been able to ask anyone or talk about it outside of my own thoughts ..not even my own doctor. If your son had a learning disability like ADD or Aspergers would you let him pull the fire alarm in a fire if you were safe?
This question is answered if you were far away from the fire. They say to pull the alarm and not call 911. Any personal advice?
How would you know if your son wanted to pull it would you go with him? What would you say before he pulls the alarm? Would it be normal for your son to read the directions on the alarm out loud? How would you offer advice or a helping hand? Would you offer him advice how to pull the handle if so how?


Would you want your son to be the hero so he feels a sense of accomplishment in such a situation?
