I was sad because he is my only baby and never again will I have that little angel that snuggled up with me. Then I realized that we get to have a completely different relationship now, one that he can interact with me and it is so much more fun. I will have to admit we are sending to pre school in August and when I think about it I cry so get ready it only gets worse!

A little, yes. But happy too, that my kid is growing slowly and surely into the next phase of his own little life. He's 4 now and completely different from when he was 2 - but yet somehow the same.
I find nothing else in this world that can humble you completely like having a kid and watching him grow before your very eyes.
Treasure every Day, every teeny tiny little milestone simply because it will never be the same again. Even if you have other children - each one will be different and special.
If you can, start a scrapbook or a scrap box of small items that remind you of your child's development. Take it out every 6 months or every year, on his birthday - you'll be pleasantly surprised how much he's grown and how far he's come... I'm starting mine as well :)

Not so much sad, just know that my daughter is growing up. She'll be 4 in March. I am trying to have #2 though.

I did it's bittersweet you love to see them grow but it seems like your getting closer to a time when they no longer need you. It's the same every time,i have four kids and you will go through it with each one.
