Pregnancy & Parenting - 29 December 2006

My last period was November 22nd. 3 tests all say no. I am having mild cramping, slight soreness in my nipples, and pimples galore! I have been pregnant before and I remember my breasts were KILLING me at this point, I was already throwing up violently, and my first HPT came back positive. I am worried that I might have an ectopic pregnancy. This was my first month off the pill, but I usually get my period every 28 days on or off BC. Last time I got pregnant, I was on the pill. I have an appointment to get a blood test on Tuesday, but I can't stop thinking about it. Any advice?

I just recently began giving my 12 month old son sippy cups. Am I defeating the purpose of breaking him off the bottle when I am putting him to bed with a sippy cup of milk?

Im asking this question for my parents.

My 7 year old sister has been snoring, loudly, for over a year. I can hear it in my room with the fan on and she's across the hall. Her tonsils are constantly swollen, they now cover her throat but they don't bother her when she talks or swallows food. She also breathes loudly, not so loudly you can hear it across the room, but if she's sitting next to you, you can hear it.

She's healthy, no constant ear infections (I had that growing up), she did have strep throat on and off for about three months last spring, but that's been it. She's very active, not overweight and her growth is very normal.

She has an appointment to visit a specialist, but we are all very curious what the diagnosis might be. Her pediatrician also mentioned sleep apnea (sp).

My mom and I both have our tonsils and adenoids removed.

Ok, a few days ago, i asked the question about what to do about the soreness and cramps that i was haveing. well i tryed warm baths, and all that great relaxing stuff that people suggested, but it only seemed to make it worse. I was wandering if anyone knew why i was getting these horrible pains. My doc told me that i have had braxton hicks my hole pregnancy, im 34 weeks right now. i have also had the cramps my hole pregnancy too. could this be something serious, or possibly the baby just getting ready, i mean i still have approx 6 more weeks. the pains just hurt extremely bad, and the pains arnt in the same place as the cramps. the cramps are like period cramps. the pain is in the hole area of where they baby comes out of. these pains are so bad that sometimes i can barley walk or move my legs. if anyone could help i would much apprecate it. thanks so much.

I miscarried on dec 10 after @ yr of TTC. I was only about 5 wks. Had blood work done that showed my hcg levels <2, 4 days after miscarriage. Dr said that we could try again right away. Intercourse 4 days and again 2 days before signs of ovulation. What are the chances now after miscarriage and for those of you who have been through it, how long before pregnant again? Also, how long did it take for the dreaded monthly to come on?

She just had the baby and the test results came back and he's the father. They want to do what's best for the baby. They are thinking about getting into a relationship with each other. My 11 year old is having a hard time with wiping after going to the bathroom. He has large skid marks in his underwear daily. I have to wash poopy briefs and have had to buy 2 multi-packs of briefs because he goes through them so fast. RIght now we are using Huggies Scented Baby Wipes (with the teddy bears) and occasionally Kandoo Wipes. The Baby Wipes are working, albeit slowly. We simply put a trash can near the toilet for wipes. I am scared that the kids at school will catch on to his "scent" and make fun of him. I recently started packing some of the Huggies wipes with him in his school bag.

Any suggestions? We go through and insane amount of briefs and wipes in this household!

My brother starts arguements and my mother fights for him and never lets me speak. She constantly tells him she loves him and she calls me a *****. She calls me selfish and spoiled. I never ask her for anything. I buy her expensive gifts and she never says thank you, or if she likes it. She hasn't hugged me or told me she loved me in so long I can't remember when the last time was. The only time she ever talks to me is to tell me to do something or to yell at me. I'm the only one out of her two children, and I try so hard to make her love me, but she still doesn't even respect me. She constantly accsues me of lying and doesn't believe a single thing I say. She even favors the cats over me. I'm sure most of you will think that I am exaggerating, but I can assure you that I'm not. I'm so afriad of talking to her, I don't want another fight, I don't want to hear her say those things to me. No one else in the house defends me either. All I ever hear her say is that I'm a total mistake and that she wishes that I never was born, why does she hate me so much, and what can I do for her to love me!? My dad isn't even alive, so I can't talk to him!! But that also means that I can't just ignore my mother!! And I have no realitives, I have asked this before, but I need an answer really bad, I have tried telling, and tried getting help, what are the other options?

I talked to a nurse and she said for a new born they only need an ounce, but how long does that last I'm going to be away from my baby for a good part of the day in a week so I want to know how many bottles I should have and how many ounces in each bottle. My baby will be 3 weeks old at the time I will be away.

For many parents the cost of small clothing can come with a big price tag sometimes almost at the same price as adult clothing. I understand that certain factors are involved such as safety regulations, comfort and manufacturing (like sometimes a special process may be required to make the small sizes) but once the patterns of clothing invented and tested baby clothes can be made over and over again, right?

hi, me and my husband have been trying to have a baby. My last period was nov 24th, i was suppose to start them on the 22nd of december but didnt so now im a 1 week late. My sister works a full time job and sends her kids to day care. When she has a day off she sends her kids there anyway. On the weekends, she's always going out and leaving them with a sitter, or her hubby, yet she always says she doesn't spend enough time with them. It really bugs me to hear her whine and do nothing about it. It's at a point that when she does have her kids she can't handle them by herself. Do I say something or keep my mouth shut?
