I am 28 weeks along right now and getting really excited about the arrival of my daughter. But I would like to know what was you life saver while you were pregnant. Also, what helped you the most the during your baby's first year... either something for you, or used for the baby.

During pregnancy, it was my Palmers stretch mark lotion. I did not have a single stretch mark afterwards! After the baby came, it was probably my husband. He was my lifesaver, always helping when he could, and running to the store/running errands when I was just too worn out.

Get a bassinet or bedside portable crib. A friend got us one of those and it was wonderful.
Like most new parents one thing you will find is that you are always checking to make sure the baby is breathing. Yes, this sounds funny to some but you Mommies know what I mean. With a small rolling crib I was able to do dishes or exercise, nap or whatever and feel at ease that our son was 2 feet away and fine.

I was pregnant during a long hot summer and was saved by a "kiddie pool." One of the kind with the collaspible sides, that become solid from the weight of the water. ( not the inflatables) I put on a swim suit and sat in that pool in the shade for hours!

well, I thought for sure one of those belly support braces would help me with the weight and pressure of baby--I could never get it on right though, and it ended up being irritating.
as for the rest this pregnancy--sour candy & tums are getting me through, lol
oh and LOTS of pillows--Im 36 weeks and can find no way to get comfy.

pick yourself up a copy of the what to expect when expecting book--it's a good read.
