My 11 year old is having a hard time with wiping after going to the bathroom. He has large skid marks in his underwear daily. I have to wash poopy briefs and have had to buy 2 multi-packs of briefs because he goes through them so fast. RIght now we are using Huggies Scented Baby Wipes (with the teddy bears) and occasionally Kandoo Wipes. The Baby Wipes are working, albeit slowly. We simply put a trash can near the toilet for wipes. I am scared that the kids at school will catch on to his "scent" and make fun of him. I recently started packing some of the Huggies wipes with him in his school bag.
Any suggestions? We go through and insane amount of briefs and wipes in this household!

For the underwear, keep in the child's room a bottle of Spray and Wash (or your favorite laundry stain remover) so he can spray them before putting in the hamper. And I have found Oxi-Clean (or Clorox 2) and hot water effective in removing most stains.
I think you are on the right track with using the wipes. Can you consider using the flushable wipes when he's in school, so he can "flush away" the evidence?
Another comfort tool is including in the home restroom a spray bottle your child can fill with warm water so he can spray that area after a bowel movement and help in wiping himself.

Well..... I think maybe you (maybe your husband?) needs to give him a little lesson in how to properly wipe. I mean c'mon, he's 11. Not 3. That's the only way the problem is going to get solved, otherwise he's going to be 33, single, living in your basement, and carrying around baby wipes everywhere he goes. And you and your hubby will be broke, trying to keep up with the briefs and wipes. I know it could be embarrassing for him to have to have a parent explain how to wipe properly, but not as embarrassing as having future friends and members of the opposite sex find out his problem...

habit alongside with the fact we tend to be larger and not rather client-friendly to prepare a sprayer if we've one. yet great section i think of of is basically what we've been taught and habit. i found out this being an American residing interior the Philippines. i found out I felt plenty extra beneficial advantageous and purifier if I additionally washed after wiping yet however like wiping first. there is different factor have been filipino's do no longer wipe first or sparkling appropriate. bogs get disgustingly grimy and pungent. additionally optimal persons of filipino's have not got any thought a thank you to bathe homestead suited to maintain out undesirable odors, germs, ants, and useful elementary hygeine.

There is a common problem with wiping that revolves around the fear of "going too deep"...
Its fantastic that you're using baby wipes, because they are gentle on the skin, and allow for aggressive wiping. If you go through the procedure once (albeit, an uncomfortable discussion, no doubt) but have no fear, your "problem" is quite common....
I have adult friends who swear by "baby wipes", by the way...
There's a stigma ..,. taboo?... that comes with possibly "getting some on your hands" when one wipes...perhaps that fear is prevalent in your 11 year old...
No one likes poop on their fingers...but its something that has to be negotiated..how much TP?...how many baby wipes?
Trust me, this "problem" is not a problem of performance as much as it is a problem of execution...and it is NOT uncommon...
Good Luck!!

Well, I would totally have your husband go in there with him and show him how to wipe his butt, I know totally embarrassing, but it may kick it in the butt! Also, if he doesn't wipe and skids his underwear, I would make him handwash it himself!!!!! or have him use his allowance to buy himself new underwear....and if he doesnt get allowance, make him work for it!!!! There is no excuse for that! I have 3 girls ---and my 6 yr old and 3 yr old never have skid marks ( only my 1yr old--and she wears diapers :P)

Tell him to wash it off instead of wiping it off. Its cleaner and healthier.
