Ok, a few days ago, i asked the question about what to do about the soreness and cramps that i was haveing. well i tryed warm baths, and all that great relaxing stuff that people suggested, but it only seemed to make it worse. I was wandering if anyone knew why i was getting these horrible pains. My doc told me that i have had braxton hicks my hole pregnancy, im 34 weeks right now. i have also had the cramps my hole pregnancy too. could this be something serious, or possibly the baby just getting ready, i mean i still have approx 6 more weeks. the pains just hurt extremely bad, and the pains arnt in the same place as the cramps. the cramps are like period cramps. the pain is in the hole area of where they baby comes out of. these pains are so bad that sometimes i can barley walk or move my legs. if anyone could help i would much apprecate it. thanks so much.

I really think you are just experiencing the braxton hicks.
'real' labor pains start in your lower back & move around to your front & then move up your entire ab/belly area. -it feels as if your insides are being ripped out or it could feel like THE WORST 'needing to take a poop' pains you have ever felt.
you will know the difference between the braxton hicks and real labor contractions when the time comes--believe me
I dont know if your doc told you this--but mine did.
drink 2 glasses of water & Try laying on your left side for an hour. that should stop the pains.
Im 36 weeks and in agony, lol--I started getting the BH really bad around 33 weeks
but drinking water and laying down helped me.

What does your doctor say? Your doctor knows your case better than we do, and knows what's right for you. If he/she says things are okay, and seems to be watching your pregnancy on a regular basis, then just try to get through it the best way you can. It may be that the position of the baby is pressing on some nerves, and that's what's causing the pain. I'd talk to your doctor about taking warm baths in your condition before taking any more. There's not a lot of medications you can take when you're pregnant, so you'll just have to discuss all of this with your doctor and see what's suggested. It's just a little more time before all will be over. <*)))><

You need to talk to your doctor asap and maybe he/she can help you--- or go to the hospital and get checked out...if you are in labor it is way to early for your baby--and your baby could have serious health issues...they might be able to stop it if you go in early enough! And if it is something else --at least you wont be in pain anymore and they can take care of it!

When in doubt go! it is better safe then sorry!

Thats what happened to me the other day. I tried everything... then I started to Urinate with Blood in it. Well come to find out it was Kidney Stones! Which suck... but was better then the PTL and water breaking I thought I was having.

Oh yea... but the best thing to do is Call your OB & go to L&D! It's best to find out.... exspecially if you are in PTL if you dont wait to long the may be able to stop it!

Have you tried something like this? It might help to take the pressure off of the area that is painful for you.

It is your uterus stretching and pulling. When the baby moves it makes the pulling and strtching feel far worse than befor.
