Pregnancy & Parenting - 29 December 2006

I am pregnant with my second child, but never went into labor on my own with my 1st. I am due in 3 weeks and I am wondering what do contractions feel like when they first begin? I am having dull menstral-like cramping in my lower abdomin that travels to my lower back. I this labor or not... I am not sure. Thanks for any help.

Okay.. so I had my ultrasound on Monday and we are having a boy!!! My husband and I have a first name picked out, and he likes all the middle names I have.. and has told me just to pick one. Just wanted to get opinions on which name you liked best. Last name is Wurm

You go to the beach and buy your son/daughter an ice cream cone and you buy yourself one and then you both sit down in the sand to enjoy it. Then when your son/daughter finishes his/her cone, they throw sand on your cone. lol They are laughing about the sand in your ice cream too. lol

My daughters school wants to skip her to grade on from jk, she is four and will be with 6 and seven year olds, she is big for hr age so thats not an issue, i am just worried about later( highschool) should i just let her be?

I am 26 weeks pregnant and my back pain has been excrutiating up to 2 weeks ago. I ve had back ache since i was 15 weeks but i could cope. Now i can barely walk.. i always need to be helped off the couch, out of bed, out of the car.. It hurts so much i wake up in tears.. Is this normal? i just cant imagine how ill feel in a few more months. Help?!

I want to thank everyone who come up with some really Beautiful names on a previous question I had asked for names. All my children have odd names. I don't like common names.
My husband and I are not finding out the sex of our last born due in June.

I have been both poor and well off. I remember that when I was on the poor side I would shop at stores like salvation army, Value village and zellers...my kids wore those clothes and I do infact remember that people "freinds, family" would say things like "oh I never buy used things or clothes" or " I wouldnt wear other people clothes" and my kids only wear new clothes.
And before I lived in an apartment and my friends would be like "you'll never own it" why not just buy a house...like it was so easy to do back then.
The thing is...there is just no winning is there???
If your well off and drive a lexus gx470 (like me now) and your kids wear name brand clothes your considered materialistic snob, YET if you drive a piece of **** and your kids wear hand me downs, people DO LOOK down on you and think they are better...what gives???

I am dating a wonderful man with a rotten only child daughter aged 9. She is rude, ungrateful and the center of the universe. Her dad is a push over and fears discipline. I have raised 3 girls by myself and though they are not perfect they are polite and gracious......I had firm rules and guidelines. I adore her dad but, grit my teeth through her. I know he has to be the one to make her into a pleasant human being but, at this point is it possible?

I see this every place I travel. Rich nations and very poor ones. So many young girls have a child to keep the boy tied to them and most of the time they do eventually leave.
In many nations as soon as the boy knows she is pregnant he is gone. Don't mothers talk to their daughters about these things.

Okay well i was for sure i was pregnant... I have all the sypmtoms of early pregnancy and even some odd ones that your not suppose to get until the 2nd trimester so i was thinking i was further a long then i thought... Okay well i started spotting then light bleeding at 3 in the morning a day and a half ago..I'm still having light bleeding but not heavy like my period.. I saw some tiny tiny blood clots and what looked like tissue? Is it possible i had a miscarriage or can i still go on to have a healthy baby?
