There are no requirements after the child has been adopted but this varies from state to state. (The thinking here is that the family has already been screened and the adoption is now final.) If you suspect that there are problems with this adoption then call your local child welfare agency to ask about it.

I know in Indiana, that once the adoption is final, they do not check unless the would be a report filed against you that there is possible abuse etc..

i don't believe there is a regular check up. i think they just drop by whenever they feel like it.
