Babies are born perfect. They don't need genital modification, regardless of gender. 80% of the men in the world are intact. Circumcision is a very painful, irreversible surgery on the genitals of an unconsenting individual and forever changes both the look and function of the penis. Not your penis, not your decision.

We had our son circumsized a few days after birth. I cried when they took him to do it. I thought he would be screaming and in agony. They brought him back to my hospital room and he was quiet and slept without a whimper.
I think the desicion is a personal one and depends on many factors like....religion, where you live in the world and also how Daddy's "member" is. Don't let other's around you influence you. It seems everybody will come out of the woodwork and will have an opinion on everything when your baby is born.
I live in the US where circumcision is all but common practice and we also didn't want our son to wonder why daddy's was one way but his was another. Our son is 2 now and we have no regrets.

I chose not to have my son circumsized when he was born and I thought it was the right decision for me..Then around the age of 3 he started having problems. He was getting urinary tract infections often. He ended up having to be circumsized anyway at 4 years old which was very painful for him.I regret not having it done at birth because he had to go through this.So now I believe that it should be done at birth to keep this from happening.

I have two sons (8 & 6). It's healthier to have them circumcised because that extra foreskin holds bacteria and germs that cause infections more likely than an circumcised penis. I highly recommend having it done. they don't really feel pain at the newborn age.
