Omg you know what, that same exact thing is going on with me in my pregnancy and im 27 weeks. I even went to the DR. to see if it was normal. (This is my first biological child) and he said yes. He just said tylenol is all i could take and then cold packs and warm packs...im to the point where i cant hardly walk around for long. I have twins who are 2 1/2 years old and its becoming sooo hard to do normal care for them, lifting is hard.....so im sure this must be normal for us pregnant people. Some must just get it worse then others. I have a friend who is 22 weeks pregnant and she is already having the same issues. Mine didnt start til about 3 weeks ago. Funny thing is ive only gained 4lbs but i guess its all the other changes our bodies go through and the baby pushing on stuff! Good luck...i havent found much that helps yet. If ya find something that helps....please repost! Have a happy new year.

Very VERY natural during pregnancy. I had that often at night, when I used to be seeking to sleep, or if i would occur to take a nap for the period of the day. Regularly it will happen once I was once just sitting observing tv. It hurts to strech it out, but that's the one method I found to get rid of it. Those in my diminish leg used to be perpetually similar to any other charlie horse, you have to stroll it off! I also heard an historic other halves story about pressing the again of a spoon in opposition to the cramp, supposedly it's going to make the cramp go away, however I in no way tried it. I think taking in additional potassium is meant to support with it. The one food i will be able to believe of off the highest of my head with potassium is bannanas. The pains I had in my thighs, and down the backs of my thighs into my knees used to be one more variety of discomfort. It was once more of a stabbing agony than a cramp like those in my calf had been. My midwife stated that these varieties of pains had been brought on by means of the youngster and the developing uterus pressing towards the sciatic nerve. I don't suppose some thing in specified may also be finished about that, besides to take a look at and alter positions. With a bit of luck, should you move, the child will transfer off of that particular nerve. Good success!

With my first child I had back pain but it was mild. With my second child, my back pain was so severe I would call my doctor crying at times. She gave me some really helpful hints. Use plenty of pillows. Rest as much as you can. Make a home made heating pad (usually doctors don't recommend using heating pads) by heating a damp wash cloth in the microwave for about 30-45 seconds, put it in a bag, and place it under your sheet. Works great.

i don't think you should be in that much pain...I suggest talking to your doctor about your problem. Maybe look into a chiropractor. I used one for the begining of my pregnancy. Sometimes when a women becomes pregnant, their hips, or back will not move the way it is suppost to. It can help. I recomend trying.

It happens, it could possibly be your sciatic nerve causing problems.
You should try some prenatal yoga. If you can't do the whole work out, look up some poses online. I suggest getting on your hands and knees and rocking back and forth to reposition the baby off of anything in your back. It did wonders for my back pain.

I sympathize!!! Truly. I suffered the same way when I was pregnant with my second child. I wanted to punch the doctor bc he wouldn't make it go away. I know, not his fault. He did suggest physical therapy but I just didn't have the time. After several excrutiatingly painful months of that, it just went away.

Call your doctor. Any pain that puts you in tears should be evaluated as soon as possible. If you are experiencing bleeding as well go to the ER.

Are you sure you don't have a kidney infection or sciatica? Do you have a back injury? Some back discomfort may be normal, but what you're describing does not sound normal. What does your doctor say?
